Best single play in the NFL this season (1 Viewer)

I got multiple requests for a poll about this, but I'm sure that I'll leave too many good options out. So maybe I'll do a poll after hearing a bunch of the nominees. A few plays that stood out to me:-Vasher's TD return after the missed FG-Boldin breaking a ridiculous number of tackles against SF and scoring a TD-S Moss' 2nd TD against Dallas(the fact that the first one was just a few minutes before increases the significance here)-LT breaking Ty Law's ankles-LJ's run against Cincy-Tiki's run against KC-Bettis bowling over Urlacher and 2 other Bears to get in the endzone-E Manning's game winning TD throw against Denver

I've got to think that there are some defensive plays that warrant attention here. Seperate poll?

Surprised a bit not to see a Lloyd catch in here, or even CJ's catch (where he went horizontal).Of those above (that I can recall) - Tiki's run was a great one.

Portis' TD run versus the Eagles last week to go ahead of the Eagles in a crucial game to make the playoffs. That run was all him.

:goodposting: I'm not sure if the topic "best" refers to the most important play or the most spectacular athletic feat. If it's important, I'd have to say Turner's run was pretty big. If it is an absolutely spectacular display of athleticism, I don't think Lloyd's catch had an equal this season.

The wind's blocking of the Chicago kicker's field goal :) Okay that'd be the funniest.I'll be a homer and throw in Tab Perry's TD return for Cincy (I can't recall which game). Homerism aside, I'd go with Vasher.-QG

Lloyd's catch (the one that was called back) is probably the best catch I've ever seen. While the play had no ramifications in the game, that'd easily get my vote.

Jerramy Stevens 35 yard diving catch in the back of the end zone, week 2. Big TE with skills beating coverage up the middle and a circus catch to cap it off against what was then considered the best team with the most vicious D (having mauled Philly week 1) in the NFC, the now-on-the-golf-course Falcons.

vasher's return for TDorturner's 80 yard runTO's drive way act would be the non-play of the year imo. great footage, just bizarre and mesmerizing in a car accident type of way

Yeah, some really good ones there, but Vasher's TD has GOT to be #1.  That was ridiculous...
 It had everything: Close game, a seemingly benign play, good coaching by Lovie to have Vasher back in the end zone, a little bit of luck, great running and breaking of tackles, great blocking, a blur of orange uniforms, a final dive into the end zone, no flags and one NFL record broken.

Just listen to the crowd as that play develops. The way the excitement builds up to a fever pitch.

It was awesome; and it might not ever happen again.

wasn't that ruled "no catch"?

Erotic girl-on-girl Panthers cheerleader action would get my vote.
Undeniably :goodposting: BTW, who would win in a cage match - the Panthers cheerleader after being told she's taking too long in the stall, or Clinton Portis' mom after having a beer dumped on her by Eagles fans?

How about the Caddy run in the first Buc's game of the season against the Vikings? We were huge underdogs, and he was a rookie. Busted out a huge run that earned him his 1st rookie of the week award

Turner's TD against Indy was certainly historical. But Vasher's TD made me jump off the couch and say "No way am I seeing this!!!"

Braynt McFadden/Troy Polamalu pressure on Farve, big hit, fumble, Polamalu returns 85-ish yards for TD. Not as good as Vashir's play, but very memorable for me.Offense have to go with that Tiki run vs KC. Just sick.

I'd have trouble picking, you guys have brought up some great contenders. Just reminds me this has been a pretty great season.

Oops almost forgot - honorable mention to the drunken Bengals fan stealing the ball from Favre - well okay that was WTF moment of the year seein' that one as it happened-QG
