I went with Young Frank, Airplane and Galaxy Quest...but a bunch of quality choices there. Hard to leave Scary Movie off, the original scary-spoof. And i have a soft spot for Mars Attacks too.

No reason to besmirch, Spaceballs is a good choice(my second) but Airplane did it first and is overall more bang for the buck laugh out loud funny.

I am a millennial, although on the very upper end. I didn't watch airplane until maybe 5 years ago. Talk about a movie that holds up well, not just a spoof movie, it is one of, if not, the funniest movie of all time.

I get that only 10 are allowed. And I love Young Frankenstein. But including that an not Blazing Saddles is weird.

I voted for Airplane because it's Airplane. The most joke-dense movie in the history of movies. I voted for Young Frankenstein, which I do think is the best Brooks comedy. And I voted for Top Secret because it is silly in a way that seems calibrated to be just for me.

In my own head, a "spoof movie" like this not only lampoons a genre or franchise, but is also a movie structured more upon set piece gags than an advancing plot. So ,I don't really think of Galaxy Quest in that way. If it qualifies, I'd argue Addams Family Values qualifies, and I'll put that up against any comedy on a joke for joke basis.

I think mockumentary is a subset of spoofs. It’s mocking rock documentaries, just like Airplane was mocking 70s disaster films, Austin Powers mocking Bond films, etc.​

In my own head, a "spoof movie" like this not only lampoons a genre or franchise, but is also a movie structured more upon set piece gags than an advancing plot. So ,I don't really think of Galaxy Quest in that way.

Whats great about GQ is that its not only a brilliant spoof of TV scifi shows (primarily Star Trek), it spoofs them while telling its own well done complete story while also incorporating the set pieces.

I believe the Airplane producers bought the rights so they wouldn't get sued.

I enjoyed that one. I wanted to like Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood but like another Wayans spoof (Scary Movie) it just wasn't that good.

I have the dvd and she had a quite a few deleted scenes in addition to those that did make it into the movie

The actress got her start as a Power Ranger so quite a departure from her earlier role! And I think she was on a pretty popular Disney show as a mom a decade after Not Another Teen Movie.
