Isaac Bruce

Bryant Johnson

Josh Morgan

I haven't heard much about Johnson or Bruce this year. All the buzz out of San Fran is about Josh Morgan. Is he simply shining cus both Johnson and Bruce can't get on the field or is a situation where Morgan is keeping these two off the field because of his play

And has Battle just dropped off the map?

I think one of these guys is going to have a big fantasy impact ... circa Furrey a couple years ago .

Figuring out which one is impossible right now.

I saw this report saying Hill is on the bubble of making the team. I'd be interested in hearing others thoughts on this.

Johnson and Bruce were both drafted in my league. Morgan was not.

I'm hoping Morgan turns out to be Martz's Furrey/McDonald this year.

Interesting piece of info, would like to know what that is based on.

Martz knows what he has in Bruce, and they chose to sit and rest him for the regular season rather than risk injury and wear him out. I think he represents the best WR in SF this year baring SF bring in an NFL caliber QB.

I think I found the article this refers to http://www.mercurynews.com/49ers/ci_10320331?source=rss

Mike Nolan said the team will keep five or six receivers on the roster when final cuts are made Saturday. Isaac Bruce, Bryant Johnson, Josh Morgan and Arnaz Battle look like sure things.

That leaves a small window for the six other receivers currently on the roster: Lelie, Cam Colvin, Jason Hill, Dominique Zeigler, Jerard Rabb and Robert Ortiz.

I would think that Hill would be the guy that makes it from that list.

he actually said 5 or six? that's pretty amazing considering Martz will run 4 WR sets. That leaves little wiggle room if one of them s hurt

49ers OC Martz Considering Moving TE Walker To WR

Matt Maiocco, Santa Rosa Press Democrat - [Full Article]

San Francisco 49ers offensive coordinator Mike Martz is reportedly considering moving tight end Delanie Walker to the wide receiver position.

As I watched Bruce fill in for me as WR3 in some games last year, he looked very feeble. I mean, obviously he's lost a lot, and you shouldn't be counting on him as a starter anyway, but this guy will not play 16 games... Bryant Johnson looks more promising, but again, guessing which week ANY of these guys will get 10+ points will be difficult.
