Pretty simple really. Which is the better/funnier movie?

Oddly enough I just watched Bad Santa for the first time tonight. I swear I’ve tried in the past but must have fallen asleep. Hardest I’ve laughed in awhile

That said Christmas Vacation is probably top 5 funniest all time for me. Maybe it suffers from familiarity these days and I feel like im going through the motions but it’s the perfect encapsulation of midwestern Christmas

The more I try and tell you why Vacation is better the more I realize you may be on to something. I personally find Bad Santa to be pretty vulgar and cruel for a "Christmas movie" so it takes a hit for me but thats my own bias.

Christmas Vacation - the only real knock I can find is that we've all seen it ~ 100 times in our lives

Voted Christmas Vacation but Bad Santa deserves more love than it gets.

Wow. Tough question. Gotta be Christmas Vacation. It really just represents the spirit of Christmas for me. When I close my eyes, Bad Santa doesn't truly represent Christmas, it represents just an amazing raunchy comedy I could watch 100 times. Both GREAT movies, just more sentimental feelings with Clark and his Christmas adventures. Imo

Die Hard takes place during Christmas. Opening scene with Argyle picking up John McClane, he throws in a cassette of Run DMC’s Christmas in Hollis. One of my favorite Christmas songs actually.

Fwiw, it’s on our yearly watch list at Christmas.

Bad Santa is a very funny movie. Top 10 xmas movies.

Christmas Vacation is the better movie. I laughed harder at Bad Santa though. A Bad Santa quote has a special place in our office though. Students can ask the instructors a lot of dumb questions. So behind closed doors in the instructor office we get a lot of "are you F***ing with me?" venting.
