Quick story here regarding pivotal situation of tourney...
There were so many boring hands but a a few exciting ones. On one hand I called an all from the big stack, obviously for all my chips, about seven hours into Day 1. It was the last hand before dinner break, a time when most players don't want to risk their life in the tourney. Hand went down like this:
blinds 300-600, ten players, goes limp, fold, I limp with 55, fold fold, limp, limp, fold, small blind calls, big blind (also big stack) ponders and pops it up 2000. Call. My turn. I have about 14k. I call. Another Call. Fold. Fold. Four players see flop.
882
Huge pot at this point. I think I could be best. Not 100 percent sure. Preflop raiser bets another 2000. Way too small bet. First guy fold. That's huge. I call. Next guy folds. That's huge.
That was perfecto. I'm afraid of someone having an 8. The two guys that could've had it just folded. I'm not putting the bettor on an eight, otherwise he would check the flop and trap. (no flush draws by the way).
Fourth street comes a deuce. He pushes all in.
I think for a few minutes. I've seen him make this all in move before, against me nonetheless, with no showdown. He probably felt he could do it again to me. I look at him and tell him if he has me beat it's a great move by him. I call with my 55. He flips over A7 and my pocket fives hold up.
