Biggest bust of the year ! There is no 2nd place ! (1 Viewer)

I'll tell you how to screw up an entire fantasy football season. I did it. Daryl Jackson & Santana Moss as your first 2 WR"s. It could not be worse. Somehow, I am only in 11th place instead of 12th in our 12 team league.

There is always next year. I love this game, but will have to eat crow for a while. Crapinski's.

I am from L.A., California originally, I currently live on a small island in the middle of the Pacific ocean between Hawaii & Japan. Only 1 thing seems certain, New England will go undefeated this year. The irony of this, is that the only other team that was undefeated (Dolphins - 1972) may go winnless. I have made a few small bets about this, but it could happen. Pat's go undefeated, the Dolphins go 0-16.

How ironoc, !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Larry Johnson, Stephen Jackson to name a couple that are way above your list...

But the biggest bust has to be, hands down, Frank Gore.

Santana Moss was probably drafted around the 5th round in most 12 team redraft leagues. Gore was a top 5 overall pick in most leagues and is currently around 25-30th RB and I believe he has only missed 1 game due to injury. He's gotta be the biggest non-injury bust of the season...

Maroney

due to his draft position and pre-draft predictions.

Alexander for me..when he did play he look below average at best.

Also Thomas Jones ZERO tds...

dont think there is a clear #1. Gore, Benson, SA, Maroney, Rudi and LJ all combined are a major dissappointment. If I had to choose one it would be Maroney due to draft position.

You tanked before the season even started? Isn't that against the rules?

Thankfully I wasn't buying what guys on this board were selling about Frank Gore. But that Cedric Benson kool-aid sure was bitter.

Yes, my list of busts goes atleast 3" long.

I resemble that comment

If Santana Moss is your biggest disappointment this year, don't expect Gore, Alexander, Maroney, Jackson, LJ, etc. owners to shed any tears for you.

Wasnt Santana Moss a bust last year too?

He's performing as well as I assumed he would this year... a bunch of bad games, then one good game where he owns the Cowgirls.

I don't understand anyone having a BUST list and not having Philip Rivers near the top of it ... he's almost single handedly ruined what could have been a pretty good Charger offence ... a lot of people are throwing all the blame Norv Turners way ... but Rivers has totally stunk it up all season long .... the Defence is also underperforming with the exception of Cromartie ... the Chargers were 14-2 last season ... now they're looking like maybe the 3rd best team in a terrible AFC Western Division ... RIVERS get's my vote without a doubt ... from Pro Bowl to Toilette Bowl in the span of less than a season ...

My second round pick of Steve Smith isn't looking too good right now. Good thing I picked up Chris Henry to take his place in my starting lineup.

Djax and S. Moss as your #1 and #2 wr's ? First of all, you have to consider who is throwing to them before deciding to draft them. Alex Smith and Jason Campbell are not considered good passing qb's. Do a little more homework before next years draft. Now, if you had Steve Smith or Chad Johnson and are dissappointed by their numbers, then I can relate. It happens. But to have S. Moss and Djax and are complaining, I do not have sympathy for you. S. Moss is my #5 WR on a 12 team redraft. He is behind Roy Williams, Braylon, S. Holmes and Calvin. Calvin and Moss didn't see the field too many times thankfully.

stop with the location-dropping, please.you're making me jealous! must be tough to live out there in the Pacific, you know, with all the sunshine, warm waters, and palm trees..lolI'd nominate Frank Gore as the #1 bust over ANYONE else, and its not even close. You'll remember that Gore was ranked at the #3RB in nearly every fantasy magazine in August..people were talking about him going for 2000 yards..

he's been the single biggest bust of ANY player in fantasy football this season, there isn't even a comparison with Santana Moss..the only other person who might be close to Gore , is McNabb, another a top 10 guy at his position who's done nothing but wet the bed this season.

Yeah, drafting Jackson set your season for you. Gotta know that if a division rival lets their #1WR go for only a 4th that there's definitely something wrong in Neverland. How you figure a mid round pick is a bigger bust than any of the 1st rounders that have blown this year (ahem Gore) is beyond me. And how is there no 2nd place? Even on your own team you have 2 busts.

Easily Gore bump some of the threads from the summer and you'll see. Some had him ranked #1 on their board.

Peyton Manning
Sad but true. :no:His first nine years in the league, I never had him even one time. This year, I finally nab him and he's playing like Ryan Leaf. All of you who drafted Peyton can blame me, as my horrible karma is clearly to blame for his poor showing this year. If he doesn't get me at least 20 FF points against the Falcons tonight, I'm jumping off a roof.

Someone, did a progression of QBs in the NFL, on this board and the analysis showed that QBs had the tendency to fade after their 7th or 8th season I can't remember which but it was a really good and interesting read. I immediately thought about Manning but just didn't think it would happen this soon.

I'd have to say Gore. He was ranked anywhere from 3 overall to 8 overall. Even when he's healthy it's been dismal, at least with S.Jax, L.J., etc.. you've gotten some production. Gore... he's been brutal considering what you counted on from him.

Yes, I am a Gore owner, so I know first hand what it's like to be benching my first round pick regularily while he is healthy. You don't say that very often.
