I am fully aware of topics we cannot discuss in here but I am pleased to share that much of these podcasts which you can stream on Youtube are for the most part free of the politics you hear on his other show on HBO which we obviously cannot discuss in detail but I have been a Bill Maher fan for 30 years, even when i disagree I tend to want to hear what he is saying.
This format has allowed for folks like me to get back to many of the reasons we liked Bill to being with. He's good at getting some of these artists and Hollywood types to relax, let their guard down and just talk about life and the world they tend to live in.
He's interviewed a lot of musicians including Sammy Hagar, Billy Corgan and Tommy Lee in a longer format where you tend to get more spontaneous responses to things.
He's had some boring interviews but mostly because the person opposite him was too stiff like Sebastian Maniscalco who just could not relax and be himself. He came across very rehearsed and unable to be more improvisational with Bill.
In recent weeks he interviewed Fabio which I thought I would turn off after a few minutes, ended up watching the whole thing, I never knew the guy could speak/think so well, Bill and Fabio were more similar than I would have imagined.
My focus here in on the celebrities, musicians and comedians. He does bring on columnists/writers and those might drift into something we need not discuss here but most of these are fun
Mrs and I like to have this on when we just want to unwind at night and don't want to watch a 2 hour thick heavy movie we gotta focus on.
Bill Maher openly puffs away and likes a shot or two of tequila while he interviews the folks, yeah that kinda adds to it.
His interview with Woody is hilarious as they both get high, conversation jumps all over the place.
Wondering if anyone else watches these
Cheers!
