Great documentary. I felt bad for the guy, despite his income and seemingly easy money. It was cool when his dad joined him. I knew all about counting and the thin margins they exploit, but it’s still really fascinating to see it in action. The casino data network on card counters was incredible.  It would be nice to have seen more gameplay, but obviously that’s not possible given the nature of the film.

Free bet blackjack is cool too.. Until you take the free double, get a 21 and the dealer draws to 22 and you push. 

I agree. I have no idea what the margins are on those games, but I don’t really care. They are fun.

Loved it as well.  I understand card counting well enough, but what was super interesting to me was the extra stuff the best advantage players are able to do - e.g. shuffle tracking, and how he found 2 dealers that were unknowingly showing their hole card 90% of the time.  If I recall, he made almost $100K off of each dealer.  And on one of them, they even noted how the casino pit bosses, etc. were watching him like a hawk, yet they knew he wasn't counting cards and couldn't figure out his angle.

Highly recommended if you're even remotely into casino gambling and blackjack.
