This is the part where you hang yourself. This is going to get bumped weekly until the end of time. He'll be a forgotten man before he's someone you can count on weekly for FF like Wilson/Ryan.

The question is how long do they stay with him since he was such a high pick? All next year too?

13-26 115 yards 4.42 YPA 1 TD 0 INT is his best game? He is QB41 out of 41 QB on PFF.The 21-13 home win on Thursday Night Football over the Tennessee Titans was his best performance to date.

The Jags spent a high pick on him so I guess they are kind of forced to stick with him after this year. Sucks for the Jags. If he continues to play this poorly how long into next year do they stick with him?
I'm trying to think of a QB that played this poorly for an extended period of time and turned it around the next year. I'm not coming up with one but I'm sure there are some that have so maybe he turns it around next year.Seems like youre only seeing what you want to see. From your article. This article disagrees with youBortles looks really bad. So we can disregard the article he quoted? They called this his best game. He was atrocious last night. He was 32/46 for 336 yards against Tennessee in their first meeting.

Honestly I hadn't seen him all year, and if that's his best game, I'm glad I didn't watch the others. :XSo we can disregard the article he quoted? They called this his best game. He was atrocious last night. He was 32/46 for 336 yards against Tennessee in their first meeting.
Yeah I thought of him but he flashed he could read a defense and actually throw a football properly. Plus Bortles is getting worse. Manning had Marshall Faulk and Marvin Harrison in his rookie season. Which Hall of Famers does Bortles have at his disposal?I need to see a game or a half where I can go ok if he learns how to do that consistently he'll be good. Manning had that a couple times in his rookie year. Even if his rookie year in it's entirety wasn't that great.

Yeah but they aren't screwing his footwork up or locating the ball on the inside shoulder when it should be located on the outside shoulder. A better OL may help but I'm not sure I've seen a worse QB performance than last night all season. It was that bad.Raider Nation said:Manning had Marshall Faulk and Marvin Harrison in his rookie season. It probably helps to have a Marvin Harrison. I think Bortles will be fine. He's one of the worse best QBs to come into the league lately... along with Luck and Tannehill ect.. He's going to increase the value of his young WRs(I'm a Shorts and Robinson fan, especially with Bortles). At worst he's a top 3 QB going forward. I see and unbelievable upside here.
