Never would have thought such an innocuous subject would incite a riot, right?I am glad the game got moved. Extra game on Monday, just adds to the drama of the first week of fantasy playoffs. Exceptional.*hums are you ready for some football* This thread is so awesome. More twists than an M. Night Shyamalin movie with just as much unintentional hilarity. Good stuff.![]()
as much as people just underline #### around here, sometimes it;s not. But just because some jagoff reporter or bloger says something, it doesn't mena it's going to override logical reasoning. I felt there was no way that a team would be made to fly in the morning and play a 1:00 game after this blizzard. So much so my mind just ignored your bloggers posit that it would still occur because that didn't make sense. So I am an idiot because I dismissed your post so much that I didn't even give it credence, and I"M the idiot. In this day and age of news, knowing the source and filtering the news from the noise is a pretty important skill.zftcg said:The funniest part about his reply was that even if he didn't "no" there was an article (hint: that's what the underlined text means), I had quoted the relevant sentence where Aiello said they would be flying in Sunday morning and the plan was still to start at 1. Not sure if ESPN would have enough time to get cameras, crew, analysts, etc on one day's notice but that would be cool. If they could I wonder if they would move back the start time on the other game. Please no NFL network though... damn Time WarnerAny ideas as to how this is handled TV-wise. Will it be an ESPN doubleheader? On Fox? NFL Network? Only available in the local markets?

Pretty sure ESPN can't gain rights to this game. Unless it gets picked up by NFLN, I think we wont be seeing this one:Not sure if ESPN would have enough time to get cameras, crew, analysts, etc on one day's notice but that would be cool. There was also a Dolphins-Titans game in 04'(I think) that was moved due to a hurricane(I think) but that game was untelevised.Pretty sure ESPN can't gain rights to this game. I believe the Texans-Ravens game that got postponed a couple years ago was played and not televised nationally.
Hopefully Albany counts as a NY Metro marketNY Giants-Vikings game rescheduled for 8 p.m. ET Monday. FOX Sports will broadcast the game to the Twin Cities & NY Metro markets.
If it's a NY team on NFL network it will be on channel 9 or 11 I forget which, but that's the way they have done Thursday night games that are on NFL network. Games with non-NY teams on NFL network won't be available unless you have NFL network.Pretty sure ESPN can't gain rights to this game. Disappointing if those the only markets that get it.We'll just have to do the online thing.Per Nancy Gay on Twitter...

The problem is that if we get to Monday afternoon and they announce that Nicks is inactive, a lot of people would be stuck taking a donut in the playoffs...unless the Giants do us a favor and announce emphatically that Nicks will be active and starting between now and tomorrow's games.Monday Night is gonna be chock full of GTD Favre-ness. And plenty of conjecture about Sterger-gate. Gives Harvin an extra day to sleep off his migraines. Vikings are hurting kind of bad right now on the O-line, this really works out well, even if it means Nicks plays it might mean good stuff for all the dinged guys.
Maybe it's a good idea to pickup Hagan right now to have someone to replace Nicks if necessary. I think it's a decent strategy for people in leagues where you can still make moves. I'd be stuck with Hagan on my rosters for the duration of the playoffs (and have to drop someone solid to do it).Maybe it's a good idea to pickup Hagan right now to have someone to replace Nicks if necessary. How did I go down in flames? The airport has been open since 3 p.m. That's all I said. I've said not a single word about when the game would or wouldn't be played.BetheMatch is a pretty appropriate name cuz in this thread you got went down in flames.BeTheMatch said:Really? You don't know if it's open? Even though I've told you twice now that it is?

ok, thanks. Do we believe Frazier or is he just trying to outfox the Giants?!Don't think it will matter much. Frazier told media it would be tough to get him up to speed, with no practice. One day shouldn't matter much I guess. Best on twitter for Vikings news is Judd Zulgad and Tom Pelissero.
Twitter is @LeighWebbthanks v. much!Frazier seems pretty honest regarding injuries and such. But I guess it would be stupid of them not to use Harvin if the migraine attacks stop. Maybe a special package of plays, and his usual role in the return game. Do you have a twitter account? Otherwise I'll try to update this thread with his status. He is listed as doubtful.
Hope everyone's OK.That said, what a clusterfudge.Metrodome roof has collapsed! http://www.startribune.com/sports/vikings/55492692.html
I posted yesterday in this thread that it could be possible the Metrodome could be damaged in a storm like this.Well, I called it first.Hope everyone's OK.That said, what a clusterfudge.Metrodome roof has collapsed! http://www.startribune.com/sports/vikings/55492692.html
moving the game to another stadium is good for the Giants, not so good for the Vikings.the Giants defense will be all over the Vikes in this one.I have a feeling this is going to be a nightmare scenario for most fantasy leagues.
Where would they move this game to?moving the game to another stadium is good for the Giants, not so good for the Vikings.the Giants defense will be all over the Vikes in this one.I have a feeling this is going to be a nightmare scenario for most fantasy leagues.
Green Bay?Where would they move this game to?moving the game to another stadium is good for the Giants, not so good for the Vikings.the Giants defense will be all over the Vikes in this one.I have a feeling this is going to be a nightmare scenario for most fantasy leagues.

They can, but NFL network said the low Monday night in Minny is -10 below zero. Can they move it to the Univ of Minnesota stadium?Where would they move this game to?moving the game to another stadium is good for the Giants, not so good for the Vikings.the Giants defense will be all over the Vikes in this one.I have a feeling this is going to be a nightmare scenario for most fantasy leagues.
That is the scenario that makes the most sense to me. That's not unusual in these parts. They can, but NFL network said the low Monday night in Minny is -10 below zero. Can they move it to the Univ of Minnesota stadium?Where would they move this game to?moving the game to another stadium is good for the Giants, not so good for the Vikings.the Giants defense will be all over the Vikes in this one.I have a feeling this is going to be a nightmare scenario for most fantasy leagues.
not sure of that. I know the MNF Chargers vs Dolphins game was moved from San Diego to Arizona because of the wildfires there. Which wasn't good because the Arizona stadium was full of Dolphins fans.could they move this game to Florida? Didn't that happen for a MNF game a few years ago?
As opposed to going over to Detroit?could they move this game to Florida? Didn't that happen for a MNF game a few years ago?
Thanks, Copernicus. The point is that is might present a problem as the 50+ guys traveling from NY aren't likely prepared to play in that kind of weather. Of course that is a situation that can be remedied, but it will still be something the league has to think about. That's not unusual in these parts.
FIFY- GodOh wait we still have that damn dome!....
