Bo Scaife... sneaky play this week (1 Viewer)

With Daniels on a BYE and Dallas Clark "expected too play"; it made do a little research in my league for FA TEs.

I found Bo in my list at TE22 in my scoring system (PPR) and dug a little deeper into the numbers.

Scaife Stats in the past 3 weeks

*has been targeted 17 times - Tied for 5th for TEs

*has had 14 recs - Tied for 2nd for TEs  (only 96 yds gained)

*#2 on his team in targets

*#1 on his team in Recs

Heres the kicker; in my scoring system... Jax has allowed the 7th most pts too TEs this year, which means that this is a very decent week to play Bo if your out of options.

Now that I done all this homework and picked him up; Bo will do nothing this weekend.... but just thought I would share to anyone thats willing to listen.

So, he'll do the same as the other weekends. More so in those league that do not give points for targets and receptions.btw, he's my starter.

I agree that he makes for a nice fill-in as he's been getting more looks lately. I don't see him ever being a fantasy starter, but I think you have unearthed a nice bye week fill-in who's been neglected by many as they see the Titans passing offense as nothing more than a sinkhole.

I'm in the same position with Clark questionable (and playing in the night game, hours after my deadline) and his backup Watson on bye. Scaife is my #1 target in FA (ours is processed on Saturdays) and I'm hoping to get something solid out of him.

If you're a Clark owner, seems to me the better play is to pick up Utect and play him if Clark can't go.

Unfortunately, our starter deadline is at the start of the first game on Sunday. Colts play in the Sunday night game. If I went the Clark/Utecht route, I wouldn't know which player to start until long after the deadline.

The problem is NOT KNOWING if Clark goes! Utecht would be the worst option here...lol

If any team out there is built to handle the Titans running attack... its the Jags. However; the Saints did show the league that if you spread the Jag defenders out... you can tear them up. So if the Titans want to win this game, their going to have to put the pass in VY's hands and let him throw some....

I expect Bo to get atleast 5 targets this weekend... I'm expecting a big game, something like 4 for 60 and maybe a 20% chance of a TD.

bingo... Utecht isn't going to be lining up in the Slot like Clark does... I much rather Scaife, King, Martin, etc than Utecht

I agree I'd rather have Scaife play than Utecht, but for those of us who can change our lineups up until game time, it is clearly better to roll with the Clark/Utecht combination, hoping that Clark will play, than to play Scaife and lose the Clark option. While Clark is questionable, a 50% chance of having him in my lineup, with Utecht as the alternative, is a better option than rolling the dice with Scaife and then having Clark go off for 6 receptions and two TDs, as he has a few other times this season.
