Boise, Idaho (1 Viewer)

Ain't gonna lie, it kinda sucks when places you grew up going to get discovered by the droves of city folk who want a better quality of life....can't blame y'all but dam!  I was planning on retiring to either Bend or Boise area but all y'all are driving the prices thru the roof!

yeah, we've been going every other month since May 2020 and it's usually around 9 hours.
It looks like it's only a trial for the summer, like the Jackson Hole direct flights. I hope people use the #### out it so they make it permanent.

The reasons they leave the city follow them to the next city also.

How many of you have moved to Boise from warm weather climates?  I'm intrigued.  Just don't know if I can take that much cold. The rest of it looks awesome.
Climate is no problem there, and snows way less than you'd think.  4 seasons is worth way more any extended cold snaps.  Hell, I'd prefer more snow.  Only 100 inches in 11 years Getzlaf says, and half of that was in ONE year???

I would worry way more about smog in Boise.  Yeah, smog.

As annoyed as I am about missing out on the direct flight, Minneapolis airport is good spot for a layover. The beer list at Stonearch is insane. It’s 5 o’clock somewhere, right?
We flew every other month starting in May 2020 and that was the only place that was always open when we flew Delta through Minneapolis. That Italian place was closed throughout.

This seems to be the norm IME.  Conservative friends fleeing the left coast for places like Boise, Jackson Hole, etc
Before the pandemic, I did open houses 3-4 times per week on new construction for eight months.

I don't recall meeting one non-conservative.  It got to the point where I could tell people what they were going to tell me before they told me their story. LOL.

Some of the stories from the fire areas in No Cal were just horrific.  Like a mom that told me her and two other moms patrolled the grade school lunch tables before and during lunch each day because they would find several used needles everyday under the tables. Like random govt leeches moved into the fire raged areas just for the govt handouts as they knew no one would remotely question them. Like people just pitching tents on your lawn and you call the police/sheriff and they do nothing about it.  I heard the last two several times.  A few told me about how they were vandalized in broad daylight or saw people taking dumps on the sidewalk in downtown SF.

LOFL at your conservative friends fleeing for Jackson Hole.  Biden took 67% of the votes there.  Trump had a paltry 29%.

Teton County is super liberal.  Maybe you should let your friends know?

My mistake, Bozeman.  Still leans slightly left, but nothing compared to the central coast of CA.
