i think a thread similar to this was started but i can't find it.
i wouldn't bother but i really want to get this off my chest.
My bold prediction for 2006 is that Michael Vick will be benched for ineffectivness sometime on or before week 7 and be replaced by Matt Schaub....for the remainder of that particular game. I then predict that on or around week 12 or 13 the Falcons will bench him in favor of Schaub for the remainder of the season.
I think their defense is going to keep the Falcons in a lot of games, and on the few times they need the offense to put them over the hump, Vick won't be able to get it done and they will give Schaub the opportunity.
Vick reminds me of a better version of Kordell Stewart. It has just taken the rest of the league a little longer to catch up to Vick than it did to catch up with Stewart.
I suppose the Falcons would still use Vick as an offensive weapon in the backfield after they pull him as the starting QB, but I think that with the team coming up short after high expectations last year, Mora and company will not be willing to risk their carreers by leaving Vick in to run this offense.
