Seems like the glass canon is having neck issues

ESPN NFL - Colts RB Ahmad Bradshaw out vs. Jaguars with neck discomfort after taking hit from 49ers

Guess Trent will get his day

Gee. No one to share the load running the ball in garbage time with? Whatever will Trent Richardson do?
Again, it's Donald Brown by default. If this game is 35-0 at halftime, I don't see the Colts keeping Richardson in the game. After all, he's a precious double #1 pick.

Simple question, if Richardson is injured early in the game, who takes over his carries?

Not sure why everyone is so down on the Brown call. Richardson can no way be fully familiar with the play book and scheme by now. Yes he's vastly more talented but I think they will still try to limit him. Brown is a nice sleeper call IMO.

Sleeper call in what way? They could announce Brown the starter and make Richardson a healthy scratch and I still wouldn't consider Brown a sleeper even against the Jags.

This is Richardson's chance to shine, he doesn't need to know the playbook in order to run the football. RB is far and away the easiest position on a team to learn. If he leaves this game with a line of something like 19 carries for 54 yards and 0 TDs it's going to be a long year for Richardson owners. And the Colts are going to look like morons for giving up the first round pick for him. I think THAT'S what we're really looking at here. If he can't torch the Jags, the Browns will look like they just robbed the US Reserve.

How deep into the playbook are they gonna have to go to bludgeon the Jags? I'm obviously no Richardson fan but this has big yardage and multiple TDs written all over it.

I don't believe ppl are down on the Brown call. I just think that now with Bradshaw out,TRich will get almost all the carries to get him acclimated and comfortable with the plays. On the same token,if they are up by a large margin, Brown will be braught in for relief of TRich of course.I am guessing some ppl here, myself included, believe Brown couldn't hold a candle to Bradshaw. So if that seems to be "down on him" because he will be backing up TRich instead of Bradshaw, then I can see your point.

Ruled out on Friday seems a litttle early. Does anyone think it is possible there is more wrong than they are saying? Neck discomfort is what they are saying. I would have thought with 48 hours to kick off they would have waited to see if it felt better come game day.

could be an IR situation. If he dropped to his knees and appeared wobbly from a neck injury (and not a concussion), that's one helluva stinger.

That was a scary reaction to the hit he took. At the time I figured he was concussed, until he came back out on the field soon after.

Bradshaw did a lot of talking this week about making a tandem with Trich only to go inactive.
This makes me feel so bad for Bradshaw. He is one of the few players I can think of that enjoys working with another RB. In his time playing for the Giants with Brandon Jacobs you could really tell he enjoyed being that 1-2 punch. This would have been another similar situation, and it seemed he was looking forward to it. I am a TRich owner and I hope Bradshaw can come back and bring his electricity to the field. His presence only helps TRich. He's always been one of those players who just does things right, but his body has held him back.

Neck sounded familiar to me (from Rotoworld Nov 2012):

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported on Monday Night Countdown that Ahmad Bradshaw was removed from Sunday's loss to the Bengals due to a neck injury.

The injury had been undisclosed to this point. Per Mort, Bradshaw has "some issues with his neck" and during the Giants' Week 11 bye will undergo "some exams and MRIs" to detect the extent. Mortensen did note that coach Tom Coughlin did "not sound overly alarmed" during his Monday press conference. It's still a situation for fantasy owners to monitor over the next two weeks.

Sleeper in the way that with both Bradshaw and Richardson around last week Brown still got 3 carries and played I think in 2 series. The week prior he had 7 carries. It's only logical that he could see an increase in workload for this isolated week. Richardson still learning and building chemistry and Indy likely blowing Jack out could mean 10 or so touches.

I still cant see richardson thrive in the passing game yet at all.

However, he really should have a decent YPC and score if given the opportunity.

I would be, and am, far more concerned with how HE looks than how the box score looks, which I am sure most people on here will grade him based in these numbers alone.

Why would he not thrive in the passing game? He caught 51 passes as a rookie.

Richardson has been targeted 14 times for 7 catches thus far in 2013 despite being spelled in most obvious passing situations thus far. With Bradshaw out and another week of practice with the new offense his targets should be going up

I'm surprised Bradshaw didn't come out hurt during the middle of last game.

The fact he at least made it this far before going out is a modern miracle.

GO TRENT!

Even if he only has 20% of the playbook down, still should be an above average week for a floor with a very yummy ceiling given what many of the other RBs have this week.

If he can't get it done this week, it's not going to happen this year.
I hear ya, if Rich lets me down this week hes going on the block while his value is high
His value will no longer be as high as it is now. Everyone else will be thinking the same thing as you.
I think it has a little room to go up, but if he flops you might as well keep him. This is a "no more excuses" game.
not really. he's had the playbook for 10 days.
