Chiefs interested in Quinn

(FFChamps) FOX Sports reports that the Kansas City Chiefs called the Cleveland Browns inquiring about a trade for quarterback Brady Quinn.

Analysis: The Browns reportedly have balked at trading him, especially with Derek Anderson struggling. Still, this is something to keep an eye on.

:bs:

This inquiry should have been made before DA was exposed as the fraud he is.
I was backing Anderson up until recently, but yeah looks like it. You can talk about CLE playing tough Ds and Edwards sucking etc, but Anderson has been mis-firing and generally just not cutting it. Hate to see too short a leash on the guy, but......But I very very seriously doubt either is going anywhere this year. Keep dreaming KC. Or living the nightmare, that is.

I agree completely with those that think Quinn, at this point, is basicallly untouchable. I cannot see the Browns trading him away regardless of what KC was willing to pay.

Of course everything in life has a price attached to it. I just don't see KC being in a position to offer what would be required. After all it isn't like that's the onlly piece missing in KC right now.

I'm sure the Chiefs want Quinn, and any other young, potential franchise QB on someone's roster. LOL.

In all seriousness, the Browns seem destined to give Quinn a long look this year, why wouldn't they?

too late. They should have made a run for him before the season started. The KC organization is a farce.Maybe they can make a play for Derek Anderson now..

I thought that Anderson and Quinn each had a decent signing bonus (at least $5 million). So not only is KC asking the Browns to trade away a valuable player but also take the cap hit too?

I wonder if the Pats would take Damon Huard for one of their young QBs. Has he been out of their system too long?

last season?
Yes. But there were still "Believelanders" at that point. He looked bad the last weeks of last season when playoffs were on the line. When there was no pressure earlier in the season, he looked good. This season there was pressure from the beginning, with the media slobbering all over Cleveland this offseason as the trendy AFCN pick, and he is playing poorly again.

Anderson is an average QB at best. His numbers are inflated due to a hot 1st half, some incredible pass blocking (that line is going to be very good for years to come, much to my dismay,) the emergence of a running game, and some very talented receivers. I watched several Browns games this year, and Anderson is just too inconsistent, and not very accurate. The problem is, by the time everyone else catches up to this fact, his value will have diminished. I'd trade the guy now while his value is high and turn the team over to Quinn. This isn't Browns-bashing, I just don't like DA that much as a long-term solution and I have a feeling that Browns fans will regret not having traded him when they could. Rumors have been that teams would be willing to give up a 1st rounder for Anderson. If that's true, they need to move him now, because they'll never get those offers again.
Browns fans, think you're going to get a 1st round pick for Anderson today?
