Bragging, venting, crowing, grieving... (1 Viewer)

I was gonna have a rough week with byes. Picked up Daniel Thomas and bolden, both gave me TD. Started Kaep and got a good week out of most starters.

Then the Cincinnati/New York game started and I've been hit for 71 points for far by Jones/Dalton

 
I've got the worst team in the league and I'm beating the #### out of the team in 1st. Dalton, Ellington, Bush, and the Bengals D. I may have a team here.

 
I trade AJ Green, Percy Harvin, and Trent Richardson for Calvin in a PPR dynasty. The moved was widely panned for trading a minimum of 2 studs for 1 stud. Methinks the term "stud" is a bit overapplied in fantasy.

 
I'm back!! The guy who only drafted one RB total in the first three rounds in my three leagues will go 3-0 again this week.

That makes my record in three leagues: 7-1, 7-1, 6-2!

Thank you Brees, Megatron, Graham, Moreno, Bryant, and all of those other studs on my team! :towelwave:

I felt warm and fuzzy heading into tonights game with a 50 point lead. Of course I am playing against Rodgers and the Packers ST/Def so that warm fuzzy is fading. Still up 30, but there is a lot of game still to be played.

 
Team just broke the single game scoring record in my league that's been going on for 15 years. Brees, Calvin, Jordy, Moreno & some others... Of course I'm playing them this week.

 
Tore it up in my main league behind my ever-adapting squad, let today by Brees, Terrance Williams, Antonio Brown, and the Bengals DST.

5-3, leading division (although tied) and 4 weeks to play.

 
I crawl back to .500 after winning this week. My team is so damn inconsistent/mostly medicore scoring-wise. Guess that's what I get for counting on Romo, and dealing with the RB headaches of Ray Rice/Ridley all year, plus a fading Pierre Garcon (sure, he gets WR1 targets, but gets WR3 fantasy pts). Lacy, Vernon & Dez are th eonly guys I feel like I can count on, and Vernon is tough to trust when Kaep throws it only 20 times. With Manningham coming back, ans Crabtree too in a few weeks, that pass receiving pie in SF is gonna be tough to live off.

Anyway, thank you Cincy DST + Mason Crosby for salting away this win for me. My QB & non-Lacy RBs are not to be trusted.

In our long TD league this week, I got 136+ out of my three WRs alone:

Megatron: 65.4

Kenny Stills: 47.55

Terrance Williams: 23.4

Managed 212 points (also had Knowshon, J. Thomas, Jordan Reed, Joique and Prater in my starting lineup; Forte and CJ2K on byes) despite another ####ty week from my QB (Brady). I am most pleased. :moneybag:

Yeah, really. I got suspended for advertising a free college football pick 'em league in the college football thread! After a month and still being suspended and having no clue when the suspension would end, I simply created a new account.

 
In a 12-team league, I started Mike Brown, Lance Moore and Tavon Austin and should survive with a win. In 14 years of fantasy football, that had to be the worst set of WRs I ever used. My team is up by 1 point and I have Austin and Lynch going tonight. My opponent only has Miller.

 
I've lost Martin, Wilson, Vereen, Julio and Cobb. Graham is gimpy. Still put up 186 pts (avg 123) and going to slide in at 8-1 (we have a double-header week). On pace to smash season scoring record. Yea me!!!

I think its only natural and is a testament to just how much luck is involved. I am much more informed than everyone else in my league and typically fare well but am in distant last place this year. Everything I do turns to ####. Makes me doubt everything I think I know.

 
I played against Megatron, Jordy, Moreno, Lacy, and Pryor (we get a 5 pt bonus for 100 yds rushing, so Pryor's 93-yd TD run ensured him getting 21 points).

Ran into a buzzsaw.

 
Mini-vent this weekend - after Dalton's slow start and needing a bye week fill in for Brees last week, I cut Dalton and picked up Tannehill. It worked out last week as Tannehill scored just enough to get me a win...but one of the better teams in the league swooped in and picked up Dalton who is now playing like the player I thought I was drafting. Unfortunately because I cut him I get nothing in return other than a tougher opponent down the road.

 
My list of injuries keeps piling up. Add Julius Thomas and Ryan Broyles to the list

To top it off I set the record for worst score in the league's history yesterday.

My opponent had the Stafford/Megatron combo plus which put up nearly 100 points by themselves in ppr. Our league has a little used 250 yard 5 point bonus for RB's, WR's and TE's which just added 5 points to Megatron's already ridiculous total. I'm definitely sharing your pain today.

I had to start Ryan Mallett at QB this week due to injuries and byes (deep dynasty, so waivers are picked clean). Ended up outscoring my opponent at the QB position, who started Michael Vick and got negative points from him.

Might actually pull it out this week.

 
I played two WRs from the same team, Dez and Terrance Williams, to nullify my opponents Romo and it worked. Now I have to dig up old articles on playing two WRs from the same team and see if what I did was smart or lucky.

 
Traded Megatron for Lynch and R. Randle two weeks ago. Playing that owner this week. Calvin gets 38. Randle gets 0. Still have a chance to beat him thanks to Gordon and Dez.... Lynch can get 30.2. RIght? Right?! RIGHT?!?!

The Rams bring him in on 4th down and motion him out to run a 5 wide set.

Why do I even bother with this hobby?

 
No other Lynch owners have come in to give Pete Carol a big #### you yet!? Mysteriously using Turbin for the 1st quarter, passing it 3 times on the 1yd line....#### you!

I also would have won if Stacy had scored, but it's not like I needed 4 out of the guy. He had a pretty good game as is.

 
Strong in 3 out of 4 leagues this week.

Was good in one league...just got hit with Tate tonight and Wilson not enough to counter throwing it all at Tate.

Gio screwed me this week too with the byes hitting at a bad time.

 
Oh and also #$@%^& Jerry Jones. Thanks for figuratively poking the lions cage and telling the world you were more concerned with Reggie Bush than with Megatron. I almost threw up when I heard you say it and I just knew I was toast at that point.

Continue rolling to 8-0, all play record is 108-12.

Not sure how long this is going to last, but I'm going to enjoy it while it does. Started Bolden this week in place of Spiller :D

If I can get anything out of Harvin, Vereen and A.Brown when they return, got a good shot to take it home this year.

Man, it was so nice to have "hot hand" Andy Dalton covering for Stafford's bye. Something told me this was going to happen. Thursday Night Football sucks!!!!!

Had to play Gio for two weeks because of injury - does nothing. Back to bench - goes off and gets two TDs. Aaaaaaaaargh !

 
Well thanks Dalton for the 3 points in place of Peyton this week where I am 8-0.

Everyone can expect Brady to go off and have his highest total of the year since my opponent is starting him this week.

 
With Luck on a bye, HAD to start Dalton last week, stunned at what he did. This week, just a feeling, nothing scientific, that he'd come back to Earth. Started Gio last night too. It'll all go wrong next week but for now :cool:

No redraft draft rankings in last 14 days, and only 3 staff members dynasty draft rankings over last 2 weeks? How does one go about getting FBG views on player value which helps in trade evaluations?

 
Traded away Blackmon+Bowe for Dez last week to a very WR-needy team in a 16-teamer.

I thought it was yahtzee before even the Blackmon news. Now it's a ridiculous trade. Dez for Bowe. Finally I make a good move!!

 
I was offered AJ Green as part of a multi player deal involving Blackmon and Spiller right after Blackmon had his second big game. Wish I had done it.
