Bragging, venting, crowing, grieving... (1 Viewer)

Took 4/5 leagues to the playoffs and cashed in 0. Season low scores in most of them. At least I won't have to go through this torture again next Sunday. Almost a liberating feeling actually.

 
1st in points. First round bye last week. 1 and done this week.

No Julio Jones. Forced to start Gordon once again and then having Johnny football ####### me in the ### killing Gordon and being SO BAD that the Bengals didn't have to throw the ball to my other receiver AJ Green the entire game. Oh and Allen leaving with an ankle injury. Perfect #### storm.

I'll say. Played the Rams D instead of the Ravens. Tucker gets a high snap and misses his first 54 yarder, and then a 49 yard try is instead 54 with a delay of game? and he hits the upright. Almost 45 point difference there. Then every game was like the twilight zone. Have Sanders and Keenan Allen - Peyton and Allen get hurt. Chris Johnson goes out on the 1 or 2. Stafford does next to nothing against the Lions, only saving grace was the double dip to Tate. On the flip side the other guy has Russell Wilson and Calvin do next to nothing and he's still whupping me.

So I have DeMarco and LeSean going tonight, down 45 vs. Parkey. Need huge miracle.

The semi's could be wrapped up because I started:

Stafford 11.85 vs. Derrick Anderson 19.25

Chris Ivory 9.60 vs. Matt Asiata 21.60

Calvin 9.30 vs. Douglas 23.10

Difference = 33.2 + 39.75 = 72.95

Sigh. In the league I most care about my team's down 19pts with my Brees/Graham double dip going against Ingram on MNF.....unfortunately it aint 2013 anymo :unsure:

Once again - semifinal jinx strikes - almost every year we see Week 15 biting people with low scores from great players....seldom do the best teams make the finals and this was just another one of those years.

Screw you Eagles (I started Shady/Parkey/Eagles DST)...way to not bother showing up tonight. Can't believe the points put up for me by ODB & Hill are going to be pissed down my leg. $#@#!#$

 
Typical H2H. Won the season points total by 146. Would have beaten the other two semi-finalists. One and done.

Knile Freaking Davis blowing up on my bench, Charles with 13 touches and his worst showing since Week 2 when he got hurt.

Probably the best all around team I've had in 20 years.

ETA: actually, would have gone 10-1 this week in All Play. FMFFL

I swear the Fantasy Gods hate my team this week:

I had Rodgers and the 3 below WR/TE's:

1. Cobb stopped at the 1

2-8-BUF12 (15:00) (Shotgun) A.Rodgers pass short right to R.Cobb to BUF 1 for 11 yards (N.Robey, A.Williams). Caught at BUF 3, slanting from left.

2. Olson stopped at the 3

1-10-TB12 (9:50) (No Huddle, Shotgun) D.Anderson pass short right to G.Olsen to TB 3 for 9 yards (B.McDougald).

3. and the last kick in the nads - Brown stopped at the 1 and Bell (his guy) scored next play

2-10-ATL29 (:37) (Shotgun) B.Roethlisberger pass incomplete deep left to A.Brown. The Replay Official challenged the incomplete pass ruling, and the play was REVERSED. (Shotgun) B.Roethlisberger pass deep left to A.Brown ran ob at ATL 1 for 28 yards.

1-1-ATL1 (:31) (Shotgun) L.Bell right guard for 1 yard, TOUCHDOWN.

I am only up by 18 points in a PPR league with no one left and he still has a half of Maclin and Bennett tomorrow night. I certianly don't like my chances by 1 or even 2 of the above possible TDs would have made me feel a hell of a lot better.

Oh and My team went 13-1 and had scored the most points in the league to this point..... only 1 time below 170 points, this week will mark the 2nd. :tfp:

I was projected to win by 40. And my opponent left Julio Jones in his lineup. My team scored 178 points last week during my bye week. Well, I'm about to lose with this team:

1.5 point lead. Nothing from Matthews.

I play any of the three listed above and I still have a decent lead. I knew not to get my hopes up but any one of those three get flipped and I'm much better off. Only Matthews can save me now.

 
Maybe they should have Sanchez do a backflip into the endzone from the 1 next time. I mean, why hand the ball to your number 1 running back to score? That would be just plain nutty.

 
I'm getting so ####ed by this SNF game, playing Mccoy when three TDs on the ground go to other ####### RBs and playing against Dez.

Dez outscoring Murray and McCoy combined knocked me out. I have to say good bye to one of my RBs next year, sucks.

 
The fact I have to drop guys like Rivers and Allen for week two of the championship means I'm in a world of ####. Season low outputs at every position save RB1.

I had Cobb and my opponent had Lacy

I had Roethlisberger and my opponent had Bell.

I lost this week by 7.

 
Have never posted in this thread, but had to share my best trading season in 17 years of fantasy football:

1. gave Josh Gordon, Latimer, James White for KB, Spiller, Bryce Brown

2. Gave Calvin Johnson for Julio and Crowell THE WEEK BEFORE CALVIN'S INJURY RUN

3. Gave Gio, Julio, Paul Richardson for Forte, Antonio Brown, and Pierce THE WEEK AFTER GIO'S INITIAL INJURY

4. Gave Sproles and KB for OBJ and Stills THE WEEK BEFORE OBJ'S FIRST BLOW UP

5. Gave Cam, BTate, and Crowell for Aaron Rodgers

6. Gave GTate, Turbin, Eifert for CJ Anderson, Ball, Hillman

Won 5 in a row, which I needed to, to get in playoffs and now in superbowl all with 1 original drafted starter (Cobb).

2 years in a row my studs abandoned me in the semi finals and lead to my lowest score of the season

I pretty much made it through a whole season, well after weeks 1-2, where I could say that I hadn't screwd my team with bad decisions, this was the first since maybe week 2.

Lost on these plays, any of these going the other way would have put me in the championship:

  • Sanders tackled on the 1 yard line.
  • LMurray pulled at the 1 yard line for MJD.
  • Dez Bryant's 3rd TD.
  • Rivers throws a pick at the goalline to end the Denver game. Awful.
What I did right:

  • Stuck with Lacy.
  • Started Murray over Herron.
I lost on these decisions:

  • Started NYG DST over HOU and over CIN.
  • Started Reed over Witten and Daniels at TE.
I worked on those TE & DST decisions all week and still made the wrong calls.

Should've posted this a week or so ago but hating H2H right now.

Second highest point scorer in league by comfortable distance.

Highest points against by a large large margin.

Ended 7-7 and missed playoffs with stupidly talented team of Romo, Dez, Jordy, Jimmy, Odell Beckham, Rams, Prater and even had Cj Anderson and Joique Bell in the run in at RB

No idea how I didn't make it. Raging.

 
Was in 5 leagues last year. Made all 5 Semi Finals. Yay! Lost all 5 Semi Finals. Then Lost all 5 3rd place games.

Was in 5 Leagues this year. Made 4 Semi Finals. Yay! Lost all 4 Semi Finals.

0-9 in Semi's. Couldn't even do that if I tried.

Roster management, while fun in its own way, takes up way too much time. No more worrying about hancuffs, injuries, waiver wire pickups, trades, etc. Dailies are all matchups and starting the right guys. Only been playing them a few weeks but have already been making money. I also enjoy not being tied down to one roster which if you have a stinker is no fun at all.

Last year in the semi-final (week 15) I was playing against J. Charles and my opponent scored the 4th highest score of they YEAR. I also had a big week and won the game at the end of the MNF game when J. Tucker nailed that 61 yard FG in DET.

Your post made me remember that because his score would have been good enough for a 157 - 3 season long all play record :lol:
