Bragging, venting, crowing, grieving... (1 Viewer)

Started gordon over wallace. Got called into work on thursday and forgot to plug KC dst in over STL. I picked them up last week just to play this week :rant: . Currently losing by 1.3 points with just his kenny stills playing.

 
Go into tonight w/ 31 pt lead. Opponent has Forte & Graham, I have Cutler. Cutler being Cutler...2 INTs, not even 60 yds passing in the 1st half. If either Forte/Graham get a TD, it is likely all my opponent needs. I cannot believe I am going to lose after getting huge games from Hill & ODB. Unreal

 
I thought I may have had my best team ever in a league that I've won 6 out of 13 years. Started off 8-0, finished reg season in 2nd at 10-3. Had the most total points wire to wire, and set the all time high team score in the history of the league LAST week.

And I lost last night in the semis by 0.32 points!!!!!!

Burned by Foster's TD being called back, Jordy's drop, Julio's injury, a craptastic effort from Russell Wilson only to think I'd been saved by Chip Kelly in my Murray vs opponent's McCoy on SNF.

All I needed was one more carry for a single yard by Murray or for him not to lose yards on so many runs at the end of the game.

I lost by 0.32 ####### points!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 
First week of the playoffs.

Here are seven of my opponents' ten players:

Cutler

Ingram

Chris Johnson

Josh Gordon

Fleener

Bullock

STL Defense

Those seven guys have totaled 38.62 and Cutler/Ingram don't look likely to add much in the last quarter.

I have Odell Beckham Jr. He scored 44.30.

I'm cruising on to the finals...

...and it means nothing, because it's a ****ing Phenoms league.

 
The #1 overall seed in my league was down 7 pts with Forte and Jeffrey vs his opponents Bennett. The score right now is 116-116. Tiebreaker is bench points and he would lose. Ingram just scored so one more chance for him now. Wow

damn he just won. He should kiss ingrams ### for scoring there
 
typical garbage points for Cutler/Jeffery. How many teams just got hosed by the Ingram? Cutler horrible game and a late drive when it didn't matter to score points.

 
#1 seed. Tied coming into tonight's game. Have Forte going vs. Bennett. Looks like I'll hang on by 2 points. Thought for sure Bennett would get a TD at the end.

I lost by 1.0 points. That's probably the worst I've ever had. When he caught the 35 yarder and then they got down to the 6 I effing knew I was finished. Unreal.

I was just winning by 10-12 pts with under 2 minutes left Ingram TD Jeffries TD I loose by 4 Go #### yourself!!!! I hope Ingram and Jeffries have a head on collision with each other on the way home

 
Whew. Survived being Beckham'd and sitting Jeremy Hill and Harry Douglas. My Brees/Graham did enough to overcome a 19pt deficit and Ingram to win this week by 7ish pts.

4th championship game in 5 years, feels good for now.

See mine above. I thought I eked out a win even given my last minute swap putting in Tre Mason ahead of Gio Bernard (that's what I get for looking at "expert rankings" for the first time all year and not going with my gut).

Worst beat ever - seriously condolences - I would have to quit after that.

 
Geez...was getting dicey for me thanks to Cutler. I ended up winning by 28 (was only up by 7 when Bears had 1st and goal before Cutler's 1st TD...had Forte been allowed to run that in...geez). Other playoff game in my league was won by the Ingram TD (his owner won by 2 pts because of that play)

 
My whole team minus Beckham took the week off. I needed 13ish from Forte and got 11. Those last two Carey catches would have done it.

Best team all year and best team I've ever had blows it. I bet we score 200 in the 3rd place game next week.

 
I was down ~10 points before Mark Ingram takes that 15 yard TD, puts me 2.5 points down and I still have Cutler. I figure the heartless Bears will run a couple times like the series before and I'll lose by the skin of my teeth (knowing that if I didn't try to get cute with Tre Mason, I may have won). Instead the Saints don't even try to defend and Cutler puts me up by 10. I didn't deserve that win, but I'll take it.

Thanks. I pretty much jinxed myself. I didn't watch game until 3 minutes left and was following my score on MFL and was up the 11.1 and just wanted to make sure I would win. Turned it on and then #### went sideways. Need some stat adjustments.

Wow are you me? I had the exact same thing happen to me, right down to those specific point totals and the gut punch feeling. Wow. I also had Harry Douglas in there but swapped for golden Tate last minute, couldn't do it. That also made the difference. Couple that with getting knocked out of a $30,000 survivor pool because my friend FORGOT TO SUBMIT OUR PICK (started with 900+ teams and was down to 22), and you can say this wasn't my best weekend ever.

It was against Globo-Gym from Gamer in the other league CK commishes. Ruined an otherwise solid weekend.

Wow are you me? I had the exact same thing happen to me, right down to those specific point totals and the gut punch feeling. Wow. I also had Harry Douglas in there but swapped for golden Tate last minute, couldn't do it. That also made the difference. Nah not the kinda friend that would do that. But it's a she, and she's hot, so I'll try to come up with something ;) And yes I know, never leave a woman to do man's work but I was invited into the pool by her. First step is buying me lunch tomorrow. Maybe I'll float the idea of a threesome with my wife. If she's game, we'll call it even

This is amazing similar to me ... I was up by 18 going against Ingram, Jeffries and Loften.

I refused to torture myself by watching the game but with 2 minutes remaining I thought the Saints would kill the clock so I went to the computer.

I couldn't believe that I was up by 12 so I went to crack the victory beer.

It happened so fast I didn't even get to open the beer

Didn't start Hill this week, and sat Evans and Edelman for Gordon, but still pulled out a tough, gritty win but about 10 with Cutler and Graham just scoring more than the 10 needed to win.

 
Was in a low scoring semi and ended up losing by 0.5 points. About as brutal as it gets. My offense underperformed but could have made different IDP choices...it stings.

I'll +1 to this. Sounds like my story. I need my league to switch to decimal point scoring. Or if Forte would had gotten 2 more yds i would have won. sigh.

That's brutal.

I was on the winning side of that one time many years ago. TB interecepted a Kurt Warner pass with about 1 minute left in the game and TB was leading. All the TB player had to do was take a knee after the pick and the game was over....but the TB player went on to score a TD.....STL got the ball with about 45 sec left, and Warner completed 2 passes to Holt (who I owned) and I went from 4 down to winning by one. My buddy took that loss hard.

 
I had Cutler,Jeffrey and Ingram going last night. I was down 22 points at the 2 min warning. I ended up taking the dog out for a walk while I contemplated all the bad decisions I had made this year leading up to the point where I needed to rely on smoking jay cutler in the fantasy playoffs. I checked the website to post a congratulations to my buddy only to find out I had won by 3. I couldn't imagine a worse way for him to lose than that. Im happy I won,but man fantasy can be a cruel and fickle mistress

 
Bad decisions by me on starting Mason over Ingram and Benching Lacy this week, all was forgiven by Dez and Brees who allowed me to advance, no over-thinking this week!

 
Couldn't even manage a win with the gift of my opposition having Rodgers lay a goose egg and the rest of his stacked team playing poorly. Oh well, aside from Luck my team was pretty much crap anyway. A win would have probably just delayed the inevitable.

 
Three semifinals, made two finals and am favored in both. Almost made the third due to Jay Cutler's suckiness. I was done, and only up by 7 points going into last night's game. After three quarters, I was up around 10 points and thinking I had a real chance at this point. First and goal from inside the one ... and the Bears call consecutive pass plays to score the TD. I'm glad the Bears got the garbage time TD, because if I had lost by less than those 6 points, I would not have been too happy, despite the fact that I never should have had a chance to begin with.

Agreed. That has to be absolutely brutal for the other guy.

 
well Forte and Foster carried me to the total points pot and the play-offs, but with Clausen and Keenum At QB..I believe it comes to a screeching halt this week. ...not to mention up against Det and Balt.

 
Thanks for nothing Tennessee Defense! Jacksonville has given up points all season long to Defenses but of course they decide to win the week of the fantasy championship....

 
Finally came to grips with my semi final loss last week, decided at the last minute to insert Chad Greenway (IDP league) over Clay Matthews, cost me 9 points and I lost by 3.......ok maybe not over it yet....where is that beer!

It's odd that this surprised you. I wouldn't have touched Tennessee against Jacksonville, if only because the game could have any number of outcomes and probably about half are bad. I think I trust the Jags offense more than I trust the Titan's ANYTHING at this point.
 
Cody Parkey w/ 2 misses, already mentioned here; Eagles DST didn't get the sacks I had hoped for (partially a function of all the plays Eagles ran on offense, I suppose). ***I also benched Shady. I accept that will end up being a bad decision, but I stand by my decision because he just hasn't performed for the vast majority of the season. If I had known he'd catch a few passes, I would've started him (I don't count on TDs, especially out of him). Hi slack of use in the passing game has been my biggest gripe all year. I just have to hope the rest of my team steps up this week, but I am clearly a severe underdog now.
