Bragging, venting, crowing, grieving... (2 Viewers)

This season has been an absolute disaster so far. I have never experienced anything like it 2 of my 4 teams have started the season 0-3. Before this year I had never had any team start 0-3, now I have 2. My other 2 leagues are not fairing much better.

Everything has gone wrong. Poor draft decisions, injuries, guys on my bench blowing up while my starters do nothing.

Such a bummer. Whoa is me :(

Guess I will have to spend my Sundays with my kids and girlfriend instead of my Live Scoring Apps. ;)

Girlfriend and children? Bosh! Flimshah! I feel ya on the bad start. Same situation here.

 
The KC Chiefs were my Keeper DEF/ST

I lost the core of my IDP due to injury or suspension (read top of the line Linebackers)

I took Mike Evans in the first rnd of my draft, knowing/figuring it would be two to three years before hes anything to write home about..

Several of my guys are what I would say big names, but I honestly couldn't tell ya how some of em will play against different opponents.

My Kicker is probably one of the best, and I just added him off the wire prior to week 1 (Cody Parkey/ Eagles) 28 points for me wk3! Its a distance thing..

Lets see I had Chandler Jones on the BN when he put up almost 40 points in my League. Doh

I recently added Taliaferro to my team, but didn't play him (ouch) cost me 18.60 Points

Im pretty sure except for week 1, that Ive adjusted my lineup on Sunday morning. (grr)

So anyway, my Team is 3-0, and leading the League! The Only team w/o a Loss. Last one was ugly by a few points, but a Wins a Win..

Lost 116-115 after Cutler and Bears D/ST last night. 3rd highest point total in the league.

But what really sucks is that I outscored my opponent 115-114, but our league gives 2 points for "homefield advantage" and since I happened to be the "road" team this week, I lost. I knew eventually the dumbest rule in fantasy football history would factor into one of my games, and it finally happened. :wall:

 
Got my first win finally thanks to Nick Foles and Knile Davis having great games. I joined this league without really looking to deep at the settings and the scoring is ridiculous. I am used to points for carries and receptions but this league has points for completions so Foles dropped 71 and Davis picked up another 59 for me. But a win is a win finally so I will take it.

 
3-0 with an a absolute patchwork job at QB and RB

Lost RG3

Lost Matthews and Rice with Spiller as my only other high drafted RB.

I have the Midas touch right now. Have been ridiculously active on the waiver wire to cover my weaknesses and have hit pay dirt every single week so far .....

Cousins

West, Bradshaw, D Brown, Hyde, Hill have all been used off the bench or picked up on the WW to bring me solid scores backing up my vaunted WR/TE core of...

Nelson

Sanders

Graham

Surprising myself by drafting Bengals in round 9 has turned out to be a great play.

Feeling pretty good right now, just need get a trade or two done in order to consolidate QB and RB a bit more long term. Taking educated potshots every week has worked so far but I'll surely be dealt some bad hands soon enough

 
Bennett ruined me 2x yesterday.

Redraft PPR: 20 point lead, with Brandon Marshall vs. Bennett. Loss. Would have been one of 2 undefeated teams.

Dynasty: I have a powerhouse squad (5 of the last 6 championship games, 3 titles, lost in the semis the other year, points champ 4 or 5 of those years as well). There is one team in the league that I had outscored 73 straight weeks until this week (since Week 7 of 2008). He beat me by 7 thanks to Bennett, the non-TD for D Davis last night, and the disappearance of McCoy.

I love you. You almost single-highhandedly saved me the humiliation of going 0-3 and are the only draft pick I made that is actually exceeding expectations. So, yes, I love you and I'm not afraid to tell the whole world.

Home field advantage? Lol that is the most ######ed rule I have ever heard of.

 
I loathe ##### bag trading partners.

Been gunning for Andre Ellington every week this season, but the owner doesn't bat an eye. Recently offered Reggie Bush for Ellington, straight rejected with no counter.

Same dude offers me Torrey Smith and Lamar Miller for Aj Green. WTH?

How is it my bench sucks this badly?? Only Gio/Hill are on BYE for me this week & yet I am forced to start Ridley. FML

 
I'm just going to go ahead and do this now for week 4. :wall:

With all the injuries and players on bye this week in my PPR league I will get slaughtered.

I suppose the Raiders will let Tannehill look like Peyton Manning this week.

Just getting all the misery out now ahead of time.

 
75% of my starters in my FFPC Main Event team are on bye or injured and I'm rolling out this roster full of gems. If I somehow win this matchup, I'll be back in this thread with extreme gloating.

I ####### hate Thursday games. How should I know who's fit enough to play on Sunday if this massacre of a season continues like this?!

 
For the last three years I have started out horribly in a league that I have been in for 20 years. 0-3, 1-2, 0-3. The 1-2 year went on to be my worst year ever - finishing at 3-10. Oddly, I always project well after draft and throughout the season so there is a huge disconnect. So I went back into the numbers and lo and behold for three consecutive years - after three weeks, my points against was far worse than any other team in the league. We are talking 30-40 points worse than the second place team in points against. To put this is frame - I am averaging 100 points allowed in a league where the average score is 84.

So - the question - how do I remove a voodoo curse? No way a team can be this unlucky for three consecutive years. The team scores points, but every team I play scores more. Feeling snakebit for 3 years in a row.

 
Just noticed that I am second in scoring in my league but 1-2, lost to the top scoring team by 6 in week two and got blown out in week one thanks to Matt Ryan, Bell and Patterson.

 
The Fantasy Gods want me to quit

Last year in my 12 team PPR dynasty league QB/WR/WR/RB/RB/TE/FLEX/FLEX/K/DEF I was #1 in points but ended up taking 3rd. Even though my team was fairly young, I had 4 1st round picks including the 1.1

So 1st, in points with 4 ####### 1sts (Watkins, Benjamin, Sankey, Devante Adams).

Demaryious, Gordon (who I acquired in the offseason, Roddy, Cruz, Djax, Watkins, Benjamin, Adams, Paul Richardson

Jimmy Graham and Gronk

Russell Wilson

My rbs are my weak spot R Jennings, Dmartin, Sankey, Chris Johnson

My team is ridiculous.

I'm 0-3 right now, going against a pretty weak team but who has Larry Donnell with 2 TDs in the 1st quarter against my Jennings/Cruz/Djax.

EDIT Now 3tds and 30 pts in the 1st half from my opponents wavier pickup.

Picked up Eli for Peyton's bye in one league and to simply start over Brady in another.

Have Donnell in 3 leagues, subbed him into flex over Sproles in my main league about 5 minutes before kickoff (Gronk in TE slot) (starting Donnell in all three where I own him this week)

Feels good man.

Watched my "new QB1" Cousins turn into Mark Sanchez. But this thread always makes me feel better...

So glad I waited on QB again in my draft...

Next, I'll pick up Eli Manning and watch him turn into Kirk Cousins.

Thanks WAS D for playing matador defense against Donnell, the one week I have to play against him in one of my leagues.

Cousins had like less than 100 yds passing and 4 INTs in the 2nd half. Bascially screwed me in another league.

I hate Thursday Night Football.

I know that feeling.

Two weeks ago I started Torrey Smith, Heath Miller, Justin Forsett, and Antonio Brown (he did alright) all on the same team. That was an UGLY TNF game for me. I got all of 19.7 points from all four combined, and lost the week by 14.

My season so far has been one big disaster. No injury issues, no domestic abuse issues, just general failure.

 
First three weeks faced - Stafford, Rodgers, Luck in our 6 pt passing td league. Now I see why I am 0-3.

Public Service Announcement - this week I face Matt Ryan so the misery should continue - probably another 25+ point game. So if you have Ryan, he is a GREAT start this week.

Worse? I have Brees who has not been terrible, but nowhere close to how good he has been in the past. And so it goes...

 
Great first half so far for me in my FanDuel. Everyone almost already at or way over the 2 point per $1000 mark. Garcon is the only downer on my team with 3.8 points when he needed 14.6

Steve Smith - Needed 12.2 - Has 26.7
Antonio Brown - Needed 16.8 - Has 22.4
Martellus Bennett - Needed 12 - Has 13.1

Lamar Miller - Needs 13.8 - Has 11.1
