Bragging, venting, crowing, grieving... (1 Viewer)

My opponent has Big Ben and Antonio Brown so I couldn't have asked for a better outcome for the Steelers game

Then my power duo of Hillman and Palmer took the field.

Wow...down 40 going into SNF, opponent only has Randall Cobb left. I have Jordy tonight, then Shady McCoy, Parkey & Eagles DST on MNF. Jordy brings me within a range of where I feel like I don't need crazy ish to happen, but that inevitable TD by Cobb makes me nervous. I knew there was no way Cobb would walk away from THIS crazy game w/out a TD. I am cheering for nothing but backups to play the 2nd half cuz I feel like Rodgers will try to get Cobb another one.

So, 3-6 heading into the game, easily could be 7-2 if I did not play the most ridiculous schedule . Faced Lynch and Manning and still only down 3 points. Unfortunately, my Alshon Jeffrey and DeAngelo Williams will find a way to screw this up.

My WR trio in my big money PPR of Dez Bryant, Jordy Nelson, and Emmanuel Sanders:

17 catches, 377 yards, 6 TDs. Good for a cool 90.7 PPR points.

BOOM

All-play is the answer.

Played the Rodgers owner...who left him on the bench and started Big Ben.

Where's that dancing pickle thing??

Started off this year thinking that I'd hit the PPR WR lottery with Julio Jones, Victor Cruz, Pierre Garcon, Michael Floyd and Reuben Randle. :kicksrock:

venting.....

Last week went up against Big Ben and Asiato. This week Peyton and Lynch. Lost by 3 points both weeks. Asiato 3 tds??? Lynch 4? WTF. Don't these defenses know it's ####### coming. Both weeks I would have beaten all other 10 teams in the league. Now on a nasty slide from 5-2 to 5-5.

Grrrr.

I'm not quite sure why I am typing this out right now since it will inevitably be a jinx but.... I just have to brag to someone.

In my 10 team 2 keeper league Last year I went 13-2 with the highest PF and the lowest PA on the way to my first championship. I have started out this year at 7-0 with the highest PF and the lowest PA again. I have now won 15 straight games dating back to last year...... The second half of this season is bound to be a very painful fall from grace... But man oh man it's been fun.
8-0. 16 straight. Special thanks to Gronk, Ingram, Payton, Golden Tate and dolphins D this week
9-0. 17 straight.
10-0. 18 straight.

Great! So down 100 to 96.5, with DeAngelo Williams to go. Had I started Tre Mason instead of DeAngelo, I win 100.5 to 100. Now, I am screwed. Story of this season in a nutshell. 80 yards, 3 receptions for a tie...so I will say he goes 1 reception and around 60 yards and I lose yet another heartbreaker. Oh, and if Graham had not been called for the OPI (I have Brees), I would have another 8 points and this whole scenario would be moot.

I have already clinched the playoffs for one of the 5 leagues that I am in.

This is a 72 team league that is broken up into 6 sub leagues of 12. We play weeks 1-11 for the regular season and weeks 12-16 for the playoffs. The top 4 teams of each sub league advance to the 24 team playoffs, top 8 record get a 1st round bye.

I won my matchup this week to give me a record of 7-3, a 3rd place rank in this sub league and a clinch to the playoffs. The 4th place record is 6-4 and the 5th place record is 5-5, so I can not be bumped out of the top 4.

 :football:

Put an massive beatdown on a division rival. If those refs hadn't robbed Jimmy, it would have been better.

Also, I'm super stoked over my dynasty draft results. Traded picks for DT, nabbed ODB at 1.08 and M Bryant at 3.01. :pickle:

So you could essentially have the same lineup/players as a playoff opponent? Seems strange.

So far this year, in one league:

Traded for:

Griffin - injured in first drive.

Ball - injured after one half

Tate - Mack injured, run game worthless after that

Hillman - got great points, then injured after 3 games

Also drafted Moreno: 1st game goes off on bench; 2nd game start him and he's injured in first few plays.

Opponent started Gronk & Roy Helu on byes but has Aaron Rodgers.

This is utter bull####.
thats some league
Friendly no money league. This person is a first timer. They have no idea what they are doing yet I will probably lose this week

normally I look forward for the chance of garbage time from my qb, but at this point with cam, I just don't want them to try and stay in the + numbers from him

Wow. Up by thirty-four, standard, normally-tiered scoring with D/ST, and I'm gonna lose to the Eagles.

We're looking at 106-99 right now in my favor. It's only gonna take one more TD against Derek Anderson or a few fumbles and sacks for me to lose this.

This is the craziest Monday night I've ever been a part of. This sucks.

I'm up 48 going against the philly defense. I'm up 14 currently

I missed on every single wr in my league except benjamin and looks like hes worthless now too. Drafted vjax, crabtree, spent big $$ on holmes, traded for Steve smith two weeks ago. Rolled the dice this week with adams over matthews.

I gotta brag on my Kicker this week. Picked up Matt Bryant, hoping for short fields v Tampa and an Atlanta dominated game. Didn't necessarily get that, but did get 4 FGs and an XP, getting me ~ 17 points. Picked him up in all 3 of my leagues, and won in all 3.

Kickers are still stupid, but it felt good to get one right for once. And probably only once.

Went to bed at the end of the 3rd sure I was done with KB looking like garbage. Woke up to quite a pleasant surprise.

Traded for Cutler to cover for Romo, in case Romo couldn't start.

Romo's health still scared me.

Started Cutler.

:ptts:

My team had more turnovers than TDs.

3 ints (Cam)

4 fumbles lost (Cam, Cobb & 2-A Brown)

5 TDs (2-Cam, Cobb, McCoy & Rivera)

I lost to someone who started two people on a bye but had Aaron Rodgers.

Yea, there's definitely a good chance to run into shared players each week. Also, it's very possible to run into somone like Payton Manning every single round. It is strange but so far, no complaints.

This is my first year playing in this type of league and the biggest selling point was that first place pays 27x the original buy in.

Does anyone know where I can find official time (meaning duration) of games? My league uses trash talk as the tie breaker but the scoring stops with the end of MNF and there is a dispute over which posts should be counted toward this week.

If anyone is interested in using this, trash talk is judged by the Commish (me) on quality, quantity, and creativity.
