Brandon Lloyd, WR, New England Patriots (1 Viewer)

I personally have heard nothing about him being contacted by teams or even working out for any teams. I have him on a dynasty roster, but we have cut downs in like 2 weeks, I hate to drop him because I know he will get the call as soon as I do. But it's hard keeping an unemployed guy on my roster, same goes for McGahee, guess nobody wants these old dogs.

Another guy that won't be signed until after week 1. No team is going to guarantee this guy $ at this point in his career.

Can some mod PLEASE change the title to Brandon Lloyd - FA instead of WR, NE?
:goodposting:

This is why I don't like the concept of lumping everything into one thread for each player/team, but whatever...
Say what? All this thread needs is an updated title. We don't need two DuJuan Harris threads or any of these other silly multiple threads. One thread per player. Done.
 I would prefer one thread per topic. To each his own...

I agree. I don't think the board will be so taxed by a "Brandon Lloyd 2012 Pats WR" thread and a "Brandon Lloyd 2013 Unemployed Bum" thread. The one would get buried with enough time.

Brandon Lloyd reportedly rejected at least six offers

If you've wondered why Brandon Lloyd hasn't resurfaced on the NFL grid this season, we now have an answer.

ProFootballTalk reported Wednesday that Lloyd has dismissed at least six teams that have approached him about playing in 2013, according to a source with knowledge of the discussions. The New England Patriots, New York Jets and San Francisco 49ers are among the teams that have checked in.

PFT reported that Lloyd is not physically or mentally prepared to continue his career. The news comes four days after CBSSports.com's Jason La Canfora tweeted that he "continued to hear" Lloyd did not intend on playing.

Lloyd is more talented than many wide receivers on active rosters right now, so it makes sense there was something more to this. His off-the-field behavior was scrutinized during his one season with the New England Patriots, but it appears teams were willing to live with that.

Lloyd is 32, and his decision likely signals the end of his 10-year NFL career. It was OK.
