Brandon Marshall... (1 Viewer)

Is Marshall ready to enter our starting lineups this year or is Bloom a year or two early in building up the hype machine? He's currently got him ranked as the 31st best WR this season, higher than Chris Chambers, Bernard Berrian, Vincent Jackson, Greg Jennings, and DJ Hackett, to name a few....Really Bloom? 31? That's a solid 3rd receiver in 12 team leagues.

As a Marshall owner I'd love for you to be right, but I'm not sure I'm buying it just yet.

Anyone know how Marshall has looked in practice the last week or two since he's gotten healthy?

He's been a bit fragile, and I have a hard time believing that Jay Cutler, in his first full year of starting, is going to consistently put up big passing numbers. I think the Broncos will win on the legs on Travis Henry and their defense. This isn't to say that Cutler won't have big games - he will, but I think there will be growing pains. Outside of Javon Walker, I don't see a ton of great WR/TE options on Denver so Marshall will have a chance to break out, but I don't think he'll get more than 500-600 yards.

He was in Shanny's doghouse, but I've read he is now finally practicing and out of it.

Therefore, he's slightly better than Reggie Williams, Ashlie Lelie and Roddy White but not quite as good as Wilford or Keary Colbert.

Blooms on target. Most Marshall lovers were concerned with him being on the sidelines for the opening of TC BUT once he returned Shanny handed Marshall back the WR2 spot rather quickly.

Skills and Opportunity are not whats holding Marshall back, its staying healthy. Bloom said Marshall was'nt known for being injury prone like this in college, if its a fluke , Marshall very well could exceed

Blooms rankings.

Remember too that Marshall played defense his junior year at UCF and didn't get hurt. So I wouldn't think he is injury prone either.

I too am wondering about him. I have D.Henderson as well and he looks more solid than marshall. I am thinking of dumping marshall for Wilford or Battle?

In all my leagues this year, Marshall has been going at WR4-5 for whoever is taking him. I have him in one league myself.

If you want to take a shot at him as a sleeper, he's not going to cost very much.

NFL Network was showing the replay of last weekend's Denver-Cleveland pre-season game. Was my first chance to really watch Marshall. I was impressed, based on what I saw in the 1st half. Seemed to have good YAC skills. I immediately went to scoop him off waivers in my leagues...only to realize more than 1/2 my WRs have week 6 byes already! Where was that thread again...

Took him as my 2nd to last pick in a 12 team keeper league. keep 5. That would equal round 14. Figure what I got to lose there..

 Marshall is good, if he's available grab him.

Wilford & Colbert? Slightly better than Williams, Lelie & White?

Terrrible post.

Whether through injury or sheer out-production Brandon Marshall will outproduce Javon this year, draft accordingly for the Broncos #1WR. :banned:

Did you mean to say "from the butt"? No chance that Marshall outproduces Javon.

Considering they call him mini T.O. , and I have T.O. and Javon Walker on my team, no I don't believe the hype. Thats my story and I'm sticking to it!

I think he's a year early, but I absolutely love Marshall for dynasty. (Talent + Situation)

This year: 55 650 5 TD
