A Florida teen whose brutal beating at a party sparked national outrage is getting some star-studded attention.
Aaron Paul, who played Jesse on “
Breaking Bad,” has invited the 16-year-old to Los Angeles to “get away from it all and take a break,” the
Palm Beach Postreported. He also used his Twitter feed to let the teen know the trip, including a stop at “Disneyland or something” would be on him.
Aaron Hill of Okeechobee was severely beaten during a party in early August. The beating of the autistic teen was filmed and the video was posted on Facebook. A police officer later found Hill lying in a roadway following the beating. Hill had to be taken to the hospital for a sprained neck, contusions and a concussion.
Andrew Wheeler, 18, was charged with aggravated child abuse with a bond set at $20,000. Evadean Dailey Lydecker, another adult in the home at the time of the beating, was also charged in the case because police say she knew the teens were drinking,
WPTV reported. While more arrests are pending the outcome of an investigation, prosecutors say it was not a hate crime because the teen wasn’t attacked because he is autistic.
Aaron Hill’s story has drawn outrage from people across the country, even sparking a
#JusticeForAaroncampaign on Twitter.
Paul also joined in that campaign.
“Everyone filming and letting this happen are also psycho #JusticeForAaron,” he wrote on
his Twitter feed.
It is unclear if Hill and his family will take Paul up on the offer.
