what if Mike IS back and he poisoned the boy?Mike theories??????

Yeah, but I just can't think of a show that I had so much anticipation for week after week. The episodes are just solid, riveting and dark and have progressivly gotten better as the seasons have gone on. I liked Season Two of the Wire but it did take away from the series as a whole imo. And season 5 wasn't great. I also think there's something to watching it when it originally airs. Renting them and watching multiple episodes at a time takes away from the fun of a show, especially nowadays when there are so many ways to discuss and preview and read about each episode to build on that anticipation. I just went through Game of Thrones and would have loved to have followed it as it was being aired. I loved Sopranos but, for me, it was getting painful to watch towards the end. Deadwood was too short. Never saw Six Feet Under though I always hear good things about it. My favorite has been The Wire for a long time but BB has passed it this season.I love The Wire, so it's hard to compare the two for me. I think when you're talking about the best series of all time (Sopranos, Six Feet Under, Deadwood, etc.), it's difficult to say which is better. Breaking Bad is incredibly intense - whereas The Wire was more methodical and worked in a nice, evenly-paced atmosphere.Fantastic season. One of the best in TV history, for sure![]()
Not only has the show passed The Wire, imo. This season has passed Season 4 of the Wire too as the best ever. I don't imagine the finale will spoil that feeling.
Not bad.I cannot believe nobody is talking about Mike not being upset about being left in Mexico or the doctor not initially helping him out when Jesse brought him in. That has to come back in play right?what if Mike IS back and he poisoned the boy?Mike theories??????![]()
I am not too worried about Mike, we'll probably see him this week, it was one week ago when we were told he needs two weeks to recover. Not bad.I cannot believe nobody is talking about Mike not being upset about being left in Mexico or the doctor not initially helping him out when Jesse brought him in. Getting ready to start season two of The Wire. Omar was an awesome character in season one.Speaking of the Wire (which is way better than Breaking Bad, sorry nerds) Mike is the Omar of this series.

well like the Mexican doc said, Gus pays the salaries, so I don't see Mike being upset about that... he seems loyal with Gus to the endETA- I realize I just argued against my own theory'pantherclub said:Not bad.I cannot believe nobody is talking about Mike not being upset about being left in Mexico or the doctor not initially helping him out when Jesse brought him in. Mike won't hold a grudge over that. Breaking Bad is way more accesible then The Wire. The Wire was my #1 show until this season of BB. You can recommend BB to anyone without hesitation. Not the same with The Wire.Speaking of the Wire (which is way better than Breaking Bad, sorry nerds) Mike is the Omar of this series.
Just think Walt could have gotten his point across without having the gun to his head. Think he would have been smart enough to play it safe and not leave himself so vulnerable if he had really done that to Jesse.I'd side on Walt didn't see it coming rather then he left the gun for Jesse to drive home his lie even further.Perhaps he meant to leave the gun for Jesse to pick it up. That way he could go into the "Gus is sooooo much smarter than all of us speech". I think that's the first time Walt has praised anyone but himself as being smarter than him. Seems like leaving the gun on the cushion was part of the plan. He needs to get Jesse back on his side and so far his plan worked. Will be interesting if Jesse is told that the boy was not poisoned by Ricin.'Daywalker said:Another thing is if Walt did poison the kid I'd imagine he would be a little bit more on guard with Jesse when he came over. Got to be in your head you might be found out. Instead he just leaves the gun there for Jesse to take. Hard to believe Walt would take such a risk and just leave the gun in Jesse's hand to decide his fate. Walt did not see it coming.
BingoIt's possible the gun wasn't loaded.
he just did a full 60 minute pdcoast with marc maron on WTF, if anyone cares. cranston is an interesting actor to listen talk about his craft, walter white and his connection to the show.Bryan Cranston on Letterman tonight.
IMO before the series is over both Hector & "who Gus was in Chile" will be factors.I'm still leaning towards Walt doing this, but i don't think that we can rule out a possible third player, like maybe Hector? I have no idea how he would accomplish it, but he certainly has incentive to get revenge on Jesse, Gus and Walt.Another thing is if Walt did poison the kid I'd imagine he would be a little bit more on guard with Jesse when he came over. Some Pinochet era flashbacks would be

Holy crap!
exactly what i thought.Terrible death scene. Completely unrealistic. He looked like a Terminator.
You would like to think that the audience picked it up from the first shot, but there may be some people that need it spelled out.Kind of a weak way to show the poisoning too. Was no reason to do the close up. It was obvious when they showed the plant.
Hell, it was obvious when he was so relieved that Brock was gonna be okay. You would like to think that the audience picked it up from the first shot, but there may be some people that need it spelled out.Kind of a weak way to show the poisoning too. I think that was the original intent of spinning the gun, a parralel to Skyler flipping the coin at the Four Corners until it gave her the answer she wanted. I think when it landed on the plant though, it gave him the idea about poisoning the kid. What I took out of that scene is that Walt seemed resigned to his death, as the gun kept pointing at him the first few times he spun it around. Then on the last spin, it was pointing away from him. That's when he realized he needed to take action and did what he had to do to manipulate Jessie into coming over to his house and going back on his side.I mentioned this earlier, but I think the significance of the gun spinning was that the gun pointed at a plant. Ricin comes from castor oil plants. Is there an horticulturalist in the house?Nah, I don't think Gus knew about it either. Walt decided his only hope of survival was to manipulate Jesse, and the audience along with him. When Walt was sitting outside with the gun spinning it, and it finally spun away from him, that signified that it was time to do something about his situation. So he covers all the windows and holes up in the house waiting to die? No, I think he got the kid sick and hoped and prayed it'd be enough to lure Jesse out to his house so he could get inside his head.I still don't buy that Gus knew about the ricin. I think either Walt poisoned the kid, or it was an accident from the kid stealing the smoke.
if I'm being naive, so be it.
Also, at the hospital, after Jesse tells his girl that it was Ricin, from that point on you never hear from the girl or the doctor again. Some have mentioned that the reaction to Ricin being in the kid's system would raise some red flags and it's lazy writing for how things played off. It wouldn't be if there isn't Ricin in the kid's system at all, and it's something else that isn't fatal.
I'm not certain about what is wrong with the kid. It could be Ricin I suppose. But whatever it is, I almost positive Walt was the one responsible.
For the one time I actually guessed the show correctly. And they said attacking windmills was futile.I think that was the original intent of spinning the gun, a parralel to Skyler flipping the coin at the Four Corners until it gave her the answer she wanted. I assume Saul's guy switched the packs on Jesse when he did the "frisking".So what happened to the cigarette?
Yeah, no.I assume Saul's guy switched the packs on Jesse when he did the "frisking".So what happened to the cigarette?
He does? I mean, it's an amazing coincidence that Brock got sick when Walt needed Jesse's help the most but...So I think it was pretty clear that Jessie knows it was Walt.
