Did anyone else notice that Skylar looked a little bit scared? I think she ran because of fear of Walt, but decided to come back. This might play out later with her going to the cops on Walt -anything to protect the family, right?

Also how do you guys think Mike's review of Jesse's work with the meth heads went - I would not be surprised if Mike said something like "he choose to put us in danger unnecessarily, when all we had to do was wait." Then again maybe Gus really does see that Jesse could be useful.

So what episode do you think it'll be when Walter has to kill his wife?

I do not think Walt would ever kill Skylar, I could see her getting killed indirectly from Walters actions, but the gun that shoot Skylar will not be held by Walt (if she dies at all).Hypothetically I could in fact see a time when Walter decided that he needs to get out, but Gus sends a bucket of chicken to Walter house one night as a reminder to Walter. Imagine Walter walking into the house and seeing his family eating Gus's chicken at the table.

Maybe someone explained this before but I'm still shuked about Skyler's problem with spending money. Walt "won" a bundle gambling, said "winnings" were substantiated with receipts and they just used over $800k to buy the car wash. But somehow they aren't supposed to have the money to buy their son a car?

I was bothered by this as well but could be a couple of things:1. She doesn't want anything flashy / in your face and worried about Hank or neighbors seeing it2. She's a control freak and this is another example of when she returns after dealing with knowing her husband is not a push over to push him over and not lose control of being the dominate person in the family. Her last quote of the episode alluded to that. You might be some badass but I'm still more of a badass than you so return the car.

I don't think Mike thinks Jesse is Mike Jr. or Victor material, but I do think we're seeing Mike start to realize he's under-estimated Jesse. He's seeing things like Jesse out-smarting him about the money theif and how he at least had some outside-the-box ideas about the meth heads, and slowly is realizing Gus may actually start thinking what Walt (and maybe even Gus, if what he said wasn't just to held drive the wedge) have seen in him.Just don't let Mike and Gus ever find out about the robot incident!

Mike was pretty clear to Gus that he needs a bunch of muscle to fight back against the cartel. It's probably as simply as Gus telling Mike to have Jesse with him to mess with Walt. Also needed Jesse to get off the meth and not draw attention by throwing meth parties. You don't want any loose cannons and especially if you feel like they are more likely to get pinched. Since Gus really can't kill him the next best thing is to clean him up and let him think he has a purpose.

Walt killing Skyler is shark jumping territory.

He doesn't love her anymore and finds her annoying, questions his authority and doesn't treat him as the person he now wants to be. Not jumping the shark if it makes sense plus we all know that the creator has said Walt will do something that show clearly he is now Scarface. Killing anyone in his drug clan won't really accomplish that.

Great season so far but I wish they didn't have Hank in a wheelchair. With only one more season and their timeline don't see him getting back to active duty by the finale.

As previously mentioned, I could see Skylar going to the Feds for protection. Her asking Walt if he was crying out for help could be some foreshadowing.

Could see Walt in the witness protection program back behind the register of a carwash in the end.

The second attack on the truck left a bit to be desired. I guess you could reason the driver just picks up his trailer that is already locked up not knowing anyone is inside. But after Mike nearly bit the dust you'd think better precautions would have been taken. Losing the drugs and the soldiers is one thing but not arising suspicions with the authorities regarding the chicken joints would seem like a high priority.Of course they are using the attacks on the trucks in order for Hank to tie that with the fast-food bag they found at Gale's.But just minor gripes.

Hank starts to get a little bit too close and Walt has to kill him, or get Gus to do it - also imagine if he also has to kill Marie because she is home at the time and Walt could not wait until she left due to some type of circumstance. IMHO the best way to kill Hank would be for Walter to give him a drug/chemical that causes a stroke or heart attack - making it look like some sort of drug interaction with Hanks medication that caused it.

I could see Hank turning the heat up on Gus's operation, Gus ordering a hit on Hank, finding out Waly's affiliation to Hank (if he doesn't know but I thought he did) and letting Walt know he is going to have him killed unless Walt gets him to back off. Walt can't and finally agrees to the hit.Walt won't kill Skylar or the boy, he may banish Skylar at some point but he won't kill her. Has to be something with Hank or his wife. I like the "Walt, this is your problem, clean it up" angle with the drug/chemical you mentioned.

Not sure what you mean on the first point; in both cases, the driver was killed. And in terms of better precautions, they had two guys (sure, they weren't Mike) with ARs as opposed to the pistol I believe Mike had. And of course I'm sure there are plenty of trucks that go by with no meth in it.Obviously, as you said, it's for Hank with the flyer in there already, but to a casual observer it looks like just a robbery... no reason to necessarily suspect there were drugs stolen.

Is that really a shocking Walt is now Scarface if he is forced to kill off Hank, someone who is paralyzed because of Walt? Perhaps but given what I've read from the creator he's come out and said something Walt will do will leap him into Scarface territory (who killed his sister).I think many people think Hank getting killed or catching Walt is a strong possibility so dunno if Hank dying because of Walt puts him in that Scarface status.

I think it's a combination of 2 things: 1. The most intelligent and successful criminals in the drug trade (at least in the US) are generally not flashy. They don't want to arouse any sort of suspicion (the chicken man is a perfect example). So while technically on paper they can prove that they can afford the flashy sports car for their kid, in the grand scheme of things it's an unnecessary risk as it's going to draw some extra attention to their family. 2. Skylar is a paranoid control freak.

Sort of what I said. A run down car wash won't catch anyone's eye. Will a flashy car? Probably not but why run the risk? Pretty soon it's another flashy car, expensive toys, etc.Skylar is beyond paranoid and pretty damn crazy plus she loves showing to Walt how she's "the man" and what better way than to use the "this will draw attention" excuse than to tell Walt to take it back. As a bonus she can play the "my son hates me because of you" card.

Also lets add to the fact that Skylar doesn't make sense in many things she's done or said so why act rational now with the car and champagne purchases? If you know women they you'll know many things they do simply don't make sense.

I'm glad the writers of the show were not satisfied with how it was left after that episode. Yeah I was the crazy one for voicing that things did not make sense. As pointed out by some the writers would still have time to clarify, which they did. But most of you were like dude, "You are alone in your opinion. You have knowledge as a viewer that Walt doesn't. The way they ended it made perfect sense. Give it up."

Last I checked Jesse still doesn't think anything is up (maybe even less so now) and Walt was always suspicious (only now more explicit and figured out the setup). I don't see how this is any different than it was.

Except I don't know, Walt figured out the setup and brought the possibility up to Jesse. Yeah that's not much different then no suspicions at all.

Uhm... dude... I think you're missing something. Walt was suspicious from the beginning, even if he didn't figure out it was a setup right away. ("Mike needed you to protect him?"). Jesse was not suspicious, and even after being told explicitly about the setup seemingly isn't suspicious. THat's the whole point.

Didn't Mike get a phone call about it while sitting in the diner with Jesse? He's a cleaner, so I just assumed he cleaned it up. Of course he made have gotten the call after the police found it. Can't wait to see how it plays out.If the police found this truck I think it's safe to assume it's the first one they've found. Mike survived the attack on the first truck, and I'm sure he knew how to take care of it.

That's an interesting prediction, especially since Walt has already tried to do the same thing to Tuco with the ricin laced meth. I'm not sure Walt will have that kind of time if he ever has to kill Hank. I can see them discussing the Heisenberg case and Walt realizing that Hank has figured it out and he has no choice. Walt would have to act immediately. Even in a wheelchair, I think Hank could handle Walt.

I don't think there's any way Gus and Mike see Jesse as anything other than a risk and a tool to control Walter. I think the writers were telling us something by not letting us hear what Mike had to say about Jesse's actions during the stake out. Even though the trick with the shovel was clever, Jesse took a dumb risk. If not for Mike's help he might have gotten killed.

Jesse is not going to replace Victor, and he's definitely not going to replace Walt. He's a junkie, and as soon as Gus is able to dispose of Walt he'll dispose of Jesse.

I'm thinking in a different direction altogether for Skylar. She made the decision at Four Corners to return and accept the life Walt has made for them. I could see her becoming a valuable partner in crime. Walt will begin to trust her more with information, and she will become an asset to him, maybe even helping him figure out how to do everything on his own. Just a thought...

Imagine Walter walking into the house and seeing his family eating Gus's chicken at the table.

I'm thinking in a different direction altogether for Skylar. She made the decision at Four Corners to return and accept the life Walt has made for them. I could see her becoming a valuable partner in crime. Walt will begin to trust her more with information, and she will become an asset to him, maybe even helping him figure out how to do everything on his own. Just a thought...

Did anyone else notice that Skylar looked a little bit scared? I think she ran because of fear of Walt, but decided to come back. This might play out later with her going to the cops on Walt -anything to protect the family, right?

Also how do you guys think Mike's review of Jesse's work with the meth heads went - I would not be surprised if Mike said something like "he choose to put us in danger unnecessarily, when all we had to do was wait." Then again maybe Gus really does see that Jesse could be useful.

So what episode do you think it'll be when Walter has to kill his wife?

Because she's felt trapped by circumstance, she talked herself into the idea that Walt is just a small player in this game. She can't do that anymore. She's seen who and what he really is. Vince has stated that Walt will do something that will clearly show that he's a horrible person which will clearly show he is now Scarface and not longer Mr Chips. Two people I can think of that will die because of Walt, his wife or son. Either dying indirectly because of Walt won't clearly make him Scarface.

How about the obvious choice of Hank? Hank starts to get a little bit too close and Walt has to kill him, or get Gus to do it - also imagine if he also has to kill Marie because she is home at the time and Walt could not wait until she left due to some type of circumstance. IMHO the best way to kill Hank would be for Walter to give him a drug/chemical that causes a stroke or heart attack - making it look like some sort of drug interaction with Hanks medication that caused it.

They are setting Walt up to kill Jesse and/or Hank....both out of self preservation.

And if not how does he not know that he has two heavy armed men riding in the back?

How do you hijack a car in the middle of the desert?....they're probably standing out in the middle of the road with assault rifles.To me, Mike being in the back of the first one signifies that this has been going on for a little while. I don't think Gus would have his cleaner riding in the back of a truck as if it were a routine part of his job. I think the driver knew/knows. Wasn't there a conversation between the driver and robber in the first one that tipped the robber off that Mike was in the back?

When I saw Flynn roll up in that Mustang it made me laugh not only b/c it was funny but b/c I thought about Carver and Raider Nation getting all b/c their villain with MS got a cool present.
