They must have a warrant then. If not, how would the wire recording in the plaza have been of any use? That was going through my mind as it happened.Could one of you lawyers find out the recording laws in New Mexico? Would they have been allowed to record that call? They would have needed a warrant for any recording to be admissible. But they weren't doing it for the recording; they were doing it to find the money. That's the physical evidence they needed to corroborate the testimony they'll get from Jesse.
Curtis Johnson (?) aka Lem on The Shield stuck around on set playing chess with cast and crew after he got killed. He was also paid for the show's final season despite not appearing in any scenes. He was also at cast/crew parties during that season.
Aaron Paul isn't a guest star or a recent addition. It would be exceptionally weird for him to NOT be there if he died an episode or two before the finale.
How he survived, it was a miracle. Then Howie survived? They cant ALL die. Somebody has to oout him as heisenberg. My guess is gomez survives
Don't know to what extent of course but on Talking Dead Bad, Cranston said thatI mean how could he possibly survive that without ruining it? I already find it hard to believe he had survived as long as he did already. It's laughable that they weren't gunned down within 5 seconds with the close to 8-10 guns aimed at them.I personally thought that scene could have been done much better. I expect they open the next show with Jesse wandering the desert and getting picked up by some random. It's not unnecessary to me. I really have no idea whether or not Hank is dead. Maybe he is, and maybe he isn't. I can't wait to find out. Isn't that the definition of a good cliffhanger?Cliffhanger seemed cheap and unnecessary. They made it obvious from Hank's phone call with Marie that Hank and Gomez were going to die, and made it obvious that Jesse is getting away. So just show it. It's really no cliffhanger after you telegraph it. What would happen in the aftermath is cliffhanger enough. Should have had Hank get shot as he reached for his badge.
Can totally see this as well, which creates all sorts of havoc. Does Skyler try to go WitPro?I can see the start of next weeks episode being Hank's wife calling/going to meet Skler and telling her they got Walter or something like that.
We don't know that he didn't. The editing implies that, but does not prove that.Hank let his ego get in the way again. If he would have called the tribal police first, instead of calling Marie, backup would have been on the way
Yes we do. Doesn't matter though, there's no way it'd happen in time to stop the shootout. How do we know which scenes of which episodes were shot when? It doesn't have to be shot in chronological order. Walt has his hair in the final episode. They could have shot those scenes before the rest of the season.Curtis Johnson (?) aka Lem on The Shield stuck around on set playing chess with cast and crew after he got killed. The rest of the DEA doesn't know what Hank and Gomez have been up to. They don't have a warrant. They must have a warrant then. Remotely possible, but unlikely. There are a number of issues to address in doing so, not the least of which are guild requirements for credit and/or pay. How do we know that all the action in the final episode takes place in year 53?How do we know which scenes of which episodes were shot when? It doesn't have to be shot in chronological order. Seriously?also did they record the conversation with Walt and Jessie ###
I was just thinking about it since walt went through the laundry list of crap he didSeriously?also did they record the conversation with Walt and Jessie ###
Well, I imagine they recorded it with Jessie's permission, which gets them out of the warrant issue. At a minimum they listened in with Jessie's permission so two federal agents can now testify as to what they heard directly from the suspect. Otherwise they can't arrest Walt just for showing up in the desert.I was just thinking about it since walt went through the laundry list of crap he didYour the mathematician you put 2 and 2 togetherSeriously?also did they record the conversation with Walt and Jessie ###
meh I dont think it was so obvious whether they recorded it or not. I thought that was the plan (and come to think of it maybe thats how Heisenberg is outed, after Marie finds the tape) but then they followed him to catch him with the money.Well, I imagine they recorded it with Jessie's permission, which gets them out of the warrant issue. I think Honk and Gummi die, but Wilt spares Punkman to help with the cook.No way is Jesse dead after the shootout.
Spectacular episode overall, but if one is to pick nits, I thought the shootout scene went on too long for no death/injury.
when they dig up the money as well as the other circimstantial evidence, he's done for anyway...meh I dont think it was so obvious whether they recorded it or not. Yeah, I hate to say it, but that shootout might've been a bit of fan service.Spectacular episode overall, but if one is to pick nits, I thought the shootout scene went on too long for no death/injury.![]()
The shootout wasn't up to the normal standards of this show (granted, this isn't an action show so it's understandable to see them stumble over this kind of scene). Much better would have been to end the episode with Nazis drawing their guns on Hank and Gomez, and then start off the next episode with something quicker and less contrived.
I have been rooting for him the whole time.Has anyone touched on the way that Walt seemed to become more sympathetic at the end? He had what appeared to be tears in his eyes and he was genuinely concerned about Hank getting killed. He looked defeated and human, like the walt from the beginning of the show, until he got near Jesse that is....then he got back into character . Im wondering if the show makes him the guy we all root for again.

I am not sure how the nazis missed. But like I said I think I saw gomey take one in the gut. I was half blitzed last night so I will have to go back and re-watch that sceneYeah, I hate to say it, but that shootout might've been a bit of fan service.Spectacular episode overall, but if one is to pick nits, I thought the shootout scene went on too long for no death/injury.![]()

Because Walt needs help with the cook? And from a guy who just flipped on him to the feds? Seriously??I think Honk and Gummi die, but Wilt spares Punkman to help with the cook.No way is Jesse dead after the shootout.
A friend on another board pointed out the Neo-Nazis know where Andrea and Brock live. They could use those two against Jesse to make him cook againBecause Walt needs help with the cook? Bump. Anybody know this stuff? Also two scientific questions: why is Walt's product blue? Is that just written into the script for the heck of it, or is there actually some kind of formula that he is using which, in real life, would produce a blue product? Anyone know?
Secondly: when the uncle doesn't have a mask on at the start of the episode, how likely is he to get sick? And what would happen if he did- would he die? Pass out?
Some part of the formula. I think Walt explained early on why it was blue, can't rememberBump. Anybody know this stuff? Also two scientific questions: why is Walt's product blue? I think I read an interview with Gilligan at some point saying that it would not be blue in real life. He just made it blue for effect.Bump. True, but the show explained it as an effect of using methylamine instead of pseudoephedrin to produce the meth.I think I read an interview with Gilligan at some point saying that it would not be blue in real life. Seems like you're unhappy with pretty much everything these days. This thread makes me better understand how a nation of tens of millions can go along with ethnic cleansing, hostile military takeover of neighboring countries, etc.
I'm still not so sure I like that turn. I don't now why but I kind of wanted Walt to be beyond redemption and the show ultimately being about Jesse and Hank's triumph. Is that wrong?Has anyone touched on the way that Walt seemed to become more sympathetic at the end? He had what appeared to be tears in his eyes and he was genuinely concerned about Hank getting killed. He looked defeated and human, like the walt from the beginning of the show, until he got near Jesse that is....then he got back into character . Walt threatened to claim Hank was the mastermind and he was the meth cook, and that he paid for Hank's medical bills (which he did). In what way would finding barrels of money have changed this dynamic? The only thing I can think of that would have changed would be if the phone call had been recorded.when they dig up the money as well as the other circimstantial evidence, he's done for anyway...meh I dont think it was so obvious whether they recorded it or not. (1) I have zero idea about the first question.Bump. Anybody know this stuff? Also two scientific questions: why is Walt's product blue? (2) I noticed the uncle taking his mask off before he should have and immediately thought of the ricin Walt went back for becoming involved down the line in a demonstration cook...
Really an awful scene. What a shame.I'm watching the shootout scene again because I didn't know how no one appeared to be hit.
Upon reviewing I can now see they had ample protection
