Breaking Bad on AMC (6 Viewers)

How I would rate the seasons:

S1 = 3/5 stars

S2 = 4/5

S3 = 2/5

S4 = 5/5

S5 = 5/5

S6 = 5/5
Huh? I thought Season 3 was when the show went from "Damn, this is really great" to "Holy ####, this is the best show ever!" I give the first two seasons 4/5 and the last four 5/5. And even then, I feel like I am selling the first two seasons short.

Regarding Season 3:

The worst part of the show for me were the wives (Skyler, Marie). They were almost unbearable and I honestly came close to giving up on the show in season 3. Hank was hurt and in bed. Jesse was moping. Walt wasn't doing much more than cooking. Saul kept the thing at least breathing for me while the wives dominated 60% of the show. Skyler and her car wash. Marie and her stealing stuff from homes that were for sale (w.t.f.?). After season 3, the wife storylines died off and the show improved immensly.

Your abilities at political analysis are matched only by your television criticism.

I think you are confused.

Them buying the car wash happened at the beginning of Season 4.

The height of Jesse's moping was at the beginning of Season 4 when he was wrecked with guilty over having killed Gale.

Marie stealing from the homes was also in Season 4.

Season 3 had:

-Walt quitting the business and then being pulled back in thanks to Gus' manipulation.

-Gus and Mike both becoming major players in the storyline.

-One Minute.

-The epic scene where Hank was trying to get into the RV when Jesse and Walt were hiding inside.

-The whole arc with the cousins.

-"Run."

What's not to love?

You are correct on the timeline. I was wrong.

However, season 3 was still hard for me to get through due to Skyler and Marie. They were awful and I'm sure I didn't go into enough detail there nor do I care to. I do think Jesse moped much of season 3 due to the death of his hot neighbor girlfriend in season 2.

The end of the One Minute episode was epic. The rest of the season was pretty slow / frustrating for me other than Saul. Glad you liked it however. :thumbup:

made it through S2 Ep5. Now I have to make time to watch this not sitting there for 14 hours straight
It's about to get good. Right around midnight tonight things get out of control at an accelerated pace.
Is there no way to watch this for free?My "site" doesn't have a feed? I just want to get through season 2 for now. I am actually up to EP7
Netflix will give you a month for free (for real). You have to enter a card but they won't charge it for 30 days. More than enough time to finish it. Twice.

oooh thx.... i forgot netflix has it free,thx
If you have never seen the show then I am seriously excited for the next few days of your life. :popcorn: I'll check back at 4am when you are five episodes past the point where you said to yourself "one more episode then I'm going to bed."

I think every season of Breaking Bad is at least as good as the best season of every other show I've seen. Maybe Season 2 of The Wire exceeds one or two BB seasons -- I'd have to go back and do some re-watching. But I do think the best season of The Sopranos doesn't measure up to whatever the worst season of BB is.

Honestly this sounds like the gripe of an 11 year old boy. Skyler and Marie greatly enrich the show- they are one of many factors which makes BB not just a good show, but an incredible one.

I also want to add something that I know most people will disagree with, but which I have come to firmly believe: as great as Bryan Cranston is, Anna Gunn is the best actor on the show.

Everything is free at project free tv.
find me a episode 7 that works.... none did for me ;)
Hey, look.... it's the internet!
hey stuttery buffering...... I've found plenty but no good ones
You need a new computer.
I DON"T THINK SO!!!! It's good for a minute or 2......

Netflix is fine for now BUT THANKS FOR ASKING :P

Seriously, thanks. I'll just use my trial...

I loved Season 2. I know Ziggy pisses people off, but I really enjoyed the "death of blue collar America" storyline in this one.

I completely agree about Skyler and Marie greatly enriching the show, I enjoyed their subplots and air time as much as anyone's.

I thought the acting was top notch across the board on the show (even RJ Mitte whom some people seemed to not like as much), and Anna Gunn was excellent, but it's difficult to not give a nod to Cranston as the best actor on the show.

There were no weak seasons IMO, all were solid 10/10's.

I suppose if they just had to be ranked against each other it could be done, but the supposed weaker seasons that some people didn't like as much were equally fascinating and enjoyable to me as the "exciting" seasons - I didn't need non-stop action or huge scenes to enjoy an episode.

Every single episode was a useful piece of the final puzzle of an all time great series.

And I don't get people that weren't firmly hooked after the first episode, I saw the skill in the writing and acting and cinematography quality right away, and the combo of a fascinating story set up, along with the masterful flashback method of storytelling had me entranced from the first 10 minutes of episode one.

Season 3 was perhaps the best season in television history right up til the second half of season 5. We start with two Mexicans crawling to a shrine and end with them dead, hank shot, a kid dead, combo dead, street dealers dead , Walt should be dead, and Jesse pointing a gun at Gail. No messing Aroind.

Whatever else is on there, it's not more worthy of drive space than BB.
