Breaking Bad on AMC (3 Viewers)

You know, all Walt had to do is get in his car and keep driving when he figured out that Jessie had tricked him. He could of kept driving for 20 miles on that dirt road and Jessie and Hank would have nothing... Im just saying.
Absolutely nothing about Walt's personality indicated that would be a conceivable course of action.

The entire show is about Walt's taking control of his life to come out on top of everyone and every situation. His ego would never have let him just take it on the lam as long as he thought there was any conceivable scenario in which he has his cake and eats it too.

What are you talking about? If he keeps driving, Jessie and Hank have no idea where his money is. Then he just goes home, still on top of the situation..

Well, considering they were right behind him, had he gotten back in his car and taken off, they would have seen where he pulled off to before getting back on the road (the tire tracks alone would have given it away), and they would have then had a pretty good idea of the general location of his money.

Was flipping around after SNF and tuned in right as Walt was saying adios to the wife. Can't believe it has already been a year, what a great final season. Sundays kind of suck now. For three years my routine consisted of football/beer/food for 10+ hours then winding down the weekend with an hour of legendary TV. Oh well, back to the yoga pants gifs.

My wife loves Hank. She made me pause it when the shootout started because she didn't want to watch Hank die. I told her the episode ends with uncertainty so now she thinks he will live. Poor girl. I've already watched Ozymandias. I should probably tell her.

:goodposting: I don't listen to "pop" radio stations and my daughter never had any interest in seeing Frozen so I may have heard parts of it during commercials but that's it.

So I'm almost done with Season 2 (for the first time thru)...and thought I would check out this thread.

Season 2 ended on Page 2....of 341.

Needed a fix this morning and popped in Ozymandias.

So brutal. So good.
just finished watching this....so many good scenes...Hank dying...Walt fighting with his family and stealing the baby...Poor Jesse....scenes that stay with you...pure awesomeness
I think lost in all of it is Marie and her going to see Skyler. Her confidence in Hank and her confidence that Walter was in custody. Meanwhile, you know his body was tossed in a hole in the middle of the desert.

Sorry if this was discussed many page ago - the bullet that Walter takes - was it from his rigged automatic rifle or from one of the scumbags inside the house? Or are we not supposed to know?

I always assumed it was one of his own bullets, and symbolically he took it while protecting Jesse.

You know it will not happen, but the greatest thing ever would be that walt didn't die and somehow escapes from Prison using SCIENCE!

Yes, makes plenty of sense.
So in the end is Walt a hero or zero ? Sympathetic or hated?
How is it heroic to murder multiple people?

The show is the story of Walter's transformation from Mr,. Tibbs to Scarface. It's also the story of his death, which he so richly deserved.

That said, it's a fictional TV show, and the great Brian Cranston plays Walter in a humanizing way.
