Brees vs Rodgers the rest of the way? (1 Viewer)

Drew Brees vs Rodgers.

Both on a bye this week. Both ranked about the same by FBG in the top 250.

Brees plays indoors but has the knee "issue" He should also get Bush and P Thomas back soon

Rodgers has been better lately (jets game notwithstanding), and is finding jennings more. The running game is getting "better" but this is still a pass first team.

Is it a toss up?

(for me, I still like Bress a little better bc of weather becoming a factor in Green Bay. Still, this hasn't really affected rodgers in the past).

I'm not sure how one can like Brees more moving forward. Rodgers has been better this year and I see no reason things will change.

in my league brees is ahead of rodgers by about 20 points. that is negligible, and this league rewards long TD passes. They look about as even as can be which is why I am asking the question.

I see the Saints becoming more run oriented later in the season although they will still chunk it for a bunch of passing yards. For one they have a few games up north and two they have Bush and hopefully PT returning. Rogers doesn't have the same threat of a running game from Jackson.

the packers have a much, much more difficult schedule going forward.
as a rodgers owner, i am hoping this translates into more passing, if games stay close.. get a big lead and move towards running the clock, doesn't help his passing stats...

I own Brees but would rather have Rodgers. I like Rodgers better going forward. I don't think the weather will matter that much. It's not like he's playing in cold weather for the 1st time.

I'm not seeing the much much more difficult schedule.Rodgers playoff weeks:13- vs SF14 -at Det15 at NECold weather games at home and at NE but neither secondary strikes fear into your heart. I'd start Rodgers with confidence and worry about a banged up Brees and his lack of a stable running game that might get better and might not.
