I originally started this thread for just Harper but I am curious about what ya'll think of the values of Hosmer and Trout as well. Some have Trout rated higher than Harper. Some believe Hosmer is a once in a generation talent. They're going crazy over there in Kansas City. Kid is getting tons of praise.

I've got an owner with Harper. He says he's untradable.

From what I know of these dudes I'd go: Harper > Trout > Hosmer

I own Hosmer in a keeper league with a salary system. He is worth $8. Harper is worth $6 and is currently available. Trout is $8 and also available.

(In this league, players not drafted automatically receive values of $8.)

The guy who drafted Harper cut him two weeks later.

I'd agree.Harper's the freak of the group. Highest upside for sure.Trout's pretty safe to be a decent player, but his fantasy value will depend on whether he can develop power and/or keep stealing a ton of bases at the MLB level.Hosmer belongs with the other two but playing 1B hurts his value.

1) I agree with Pickles on the order2) What are they worth in a trade? Whatever you can get someone to pay youTrade values are totally league dependent - what you can get Trout for in your league is totally different than what I might get in my league.......and of course you are mixing an NL player with two AL players and I don't play in any mixed league keeper/dynasty formats so that is really hard to address3)The trade values of Harper and Trout who at best make a September appearance this year will go UP from here - there might be a team competing for the league championship who feels he has to deal Trout in July to hold on to or overtake another team. Hosmer's value actually took a slight hit when called up BUT since he should be playing every day for the rest of this year might go up if he is a solid contributor and someone needs a 1B or again a contender might try and work a late trade selling him for someone they need more with a team who has already moved on to next year.
