BTTF 2017 : Scoobus wins World Series (1 Viewer)

7.14 Jean Segura, SS Seattle

#2 hitter, there will be some regression from last year but hopefully not a ton. Solid defensive grades at SS prior to last year so think he will be fine.  :unsure:

7.15 Ivan Nova, SP Pirates

Almost picked him last time which means I should definitely pick him this time right?

The difference with 1B is that at least the supply of competent bats won't run out. You can get a boring 750 OPS guy pretty late. If you take your chances like that at an MI spot you might end up really screwed.

But I do think there's only so many impact bats and after Santana and Belt we're about at the larryplateau.
Belt was one of the other guys I was looking at with Santana. In my opinion, there is still one impact bat left, a real difference maker.

I've never figured out the phenomenon of WIS drafts settling into a daily cycle.  I realize there are the same number of teams as there are hours in a day but I don't think this is a good explanation.  I've made my odd number round picks every day this week around late afternoon/early evening.

Good pick. I thought he was already gone. Remaining SS seems to all be  a level lower. I might have taken him over Khris, had I realized he was available.

Was seriously thinking about him last time.  Not great defense, but serviceable... it's a "deep" position, but where can you find a MI who is also a prime leadoff candidate?

Ben Zobrist, 2B Cubs

@Sammy3469 OTC

You know who else likes Zobrist? RnR. He drafted him at 7.20.

unfortunately, the spreadsheet isn't updated.

Can't blame me when the sheet was not updated! repick coming
But the sheet was updated. I did it myself last night.

Also -- I'd consider letting Zobrist go for a starting pitcher already on your team (but not Hendricks, he sucks). #koyadealin

Um.... no.

PLENTY OF TALENT AVAILABLE (actually, at that position there may well be. Talent still being a relative term)

7.24 Yasmani Grandal, CA

8.1 Tyler Anderson, SP

Had Chen all teed up for this pick.  We have officially entered the portion of the draft where I have no idea who these guys are.

@Sammy3469 you're up

what's even stranger is when the pattern persists past a weekend. i guess a weekend day moves at half-speed
