yep. there's very few worthy of that - so if you can grab him, do you?Regarding dt question. If your drafting a dlineman in the first he must be an elite pass rusher.
Dont you dare try to psych me out.The first couple of rounds are the least stressful and are almost impossible to screw up. Take a stud at a high value position.
I remember a lot of scrutiny about Flacco, lol.No mindgames. Last year in the first 3 rounds, the only questionable pick was James Laurinaitis in the third. Besides that, everybody did a good job.

Yes. So was Kirk Cousins, Kyle Orton, and Matt Barkley if memory serves me well.was he elite?I remember a lot of scrutiny about Flacco, lol.No mindgames. Last year in the first 3 rounds, the only questionable pick was James Laurinaitis in the third. Besides that, everybody did a good job.

Draft like you are building a real life NFL franchise. We have no salary caps, this is an exercise of building the best, most talented team considering both the present and the future.Just to confirm, we draft like an NFL GM, not like a FF person correct?
Revis at 1.9 is a perfect example of staying true to your own draft board. Revis was absolutely not falling to him in round 2. If Instinctive thinks he can be as dominant as he was with the Jets, Revis is absolutely worth that pick. It's not a pick I would make personally but I like that he has the balls to take his guy.Revis!!!???
wow
Sorry if I missed it, not drafting Offensive line?Draft like you are building a real life NFL franchise. No we do draft o lineman. They are listed under punters under each respective team.Sorry if I missed it, not drafting Offensive line?Draft like you are building a real life NFL franchise. not knocking the pick... just didnt expect to see him this early.Revis at 1.9 is a perfect example of staying true to your own draft board. Revis was absolutely not falling to him in round 2. I assumed rookies were a part of this draft like last year.We are drafting all 53 players and are having a rookie draft.
Also last year, interest wore out after round 30 more or less.I assumed rookies were a part of this draft like last year.We are drafting all 53 players and are having a rookie draft.
Yup. Rookies were a problem last year.I thought last year people were using rookies as hail mary's in the mid rounds, which is the reason behind two separate drafts. For example last year exalted took geno early last year without knowing much about him praying he'd be a successful rookie.
If interest wanes we can reduce the number of rounds in the veteran draft.

Still the best CB in the NFL in my opinion. There are only a handful of players that could be cornerstones of unbeatable defenses, and he is one of them.Revis!!!???
wow
I just didnt expect to see him that early... also figured 1-2 corners would be taken ahead of him (based on my board)... but that's what makes this great - seeing difference of opinions and strategyStill the best CB in the NFL in my opinion. Yeah, I hope this exchange of opinions will continue throughout the draft, it's real funI just didnt expect to see him that early... also figured 1-2 corners would be taken ahead of him (based on my board)... but that's what makes this great - seeing difference of opinions and strategyStill the best CB in the NFL in my opinion. You have to consider how quickly Griffin came back from injury. He was bad but physically he also didn't look like a player who had fully recovered. He was also in just his second year without offseason work. I think he was appropriately drafted. The risk is higher with him compared to a more conservative pick but the upside could be an elite QB.I thought Griffins year would have dropped him more. He was really, really, really bad.
your raiders are the proud new owner of a shiny matt ryanCan you put a link to the draft in the first post so those not involved can at least watch and observe. Thank You.

Damnit! Great pick, desperately wanted to move up to get him :(Expected to go a different route with the titans, but if you're going to give me the 25 year old pro bowl MVP, I'll gladly take him. He's easily the top riser from last year, but Foles is... elite.
Definitely agree on that. Can't justify a RB that high, especially one with five years in the NFL already. I don't think he's gonna break down anytime soon, and he should be great for a few more years, but 13th overall is too high.Surprised to see McCoy go so high. Didn't feel like RBs hold as much value given the shorter shelf life. I agree that McCoy is the best but I didn't think a RB would go in 1st rd.
Bears are yours if you want themI'm happy to see this got going for another year. I'm disappointed I missed the sign up, but I will be following with interest. Have fun everyone.
Always a tough call.Well now the big question has to come up...how important is age? Obviously the two big guns are sitting waiting to be called...

It's kind of bad form to talk about people who haven't been drafted but I will say that this balance of age and winning now skews more towards youth in this format imo. With no salary cap, the assumption is you can keep your core team together and let them develop. In the real NFL because of cap management, to have long term success, you have to continually draft contributing rookies because they are cheap. After a player's rookie contract is up, they may be too expensive to keep and you lose key parts to your core talent.Always a tough call.Well now the big question has to come up...how important is age? Obviously the two big guns are sitting waiting to be called...
Doubt they make it to the 2nd.
How do we work this Nate? Do you delete me and add Whicker for Chicago?I will take them.Bears are yours if you want themI'm happy to see this got going for another year. I'm disappointed I missed the sign up, but I will be following with interest. Have fun everyone.
