I originally wanted to get a safety or two but there was a huge run the past round or two leaving me without any of my targets. Instead, I'll take the two guys at the top of my board and two more offensive weapons for Rodgers. I already know my opinion of Joique is higher than most as I view him as a B+ player. Joique excels in all 3 phases of the game and is a good runner, receiver, and blocker. As a runner, Joique runs with power and elusiveness.
Sproles is so quick and so dangerous horizontally. I feel like he will benefit from the space left underneath with DeSean and Demaryius as the offense's outside, vertical threats.
Both the Lions and Saints in real life use two RB sets in a similar manner. The Lions had many formations where Bell and Bush were on the field together with Bell in the backfield and Bush in the slot. Similarly, the Saints had formations where Sproles was in the slot and Thomas or Ingram was playing in the backfield. I plan to use a similar strategy with Bell and Sproles together.
Both Sproles and Bell are great in the screen game and I expect to have them both on the field at the same time a lot. Sproles's age is a bit of a concern so I will need to keep an eye on his snap count.
I've been a big fan of Sproles ever since we lived in Manhattan, KS and watched him play. But, the man seems to have lost a step. Not really surprising as he turns 31 this summer. Fair value here of course, but he'll likely be out of the league in 2 years.
Bell is solid, though you're right that you grade him higher than I would.
I like what you did at this turn around.
