Bush or Hightower (1 Viewer)

We are all looking for diamonds in the ruff on the waiver wire. Two players that are still out there in some leagues are Tim Hightower and Michael Bush. Both players have great talent and potential but lack opportunity. Assessing their values involves predicting possibility of opportunity and potential for success. I am interested to see who you think has more value for the rest of the season in a non-keeper league. What do you think?

I'd pick up Hightower, although it depends on who you would drop. You need to put up your roster requirements and scoring to properly assess your needs and situation.

I think Bush is more talented, but at best, he gets into a 2-man rotation. Hightower is already there and is one-injury away from being the man and very productive.

That said, does Hightower have a chance to overtake Edge? At best, I see them splitting carries 50-50 unless Edge gets hurt. Neither one looks very good, nor appealing in the current situation.

I'm more interested in how people are handling the Edge-Hightower mess. Edge is getting 2/3 of the carries, but he's basically useless without the goal-line carries.

Edge is permabenchedIf Fargas or McFadden are out for a while than Bush will get 1/2 the carries plus GL's

I know redzone and goal line arn't quite the same, but if you look at the stats in the RZ, they have equal touches. If Hightower continues with the hot hand, it could definately be bad for Edge in TD heavy leagues, but, for now, a score from the fifteen is as good (sometimes better in bonus leagues) than a score from the one. I do agree Hightower has better FF potential due to the 1 play away scenario.
