Both are great weapons, but Bush is going to get a ton of catches... and he's a gamebreaker. He very well could be the first rookie to go #1 in most FF drafts.

In no particular order:

LT LJ SA Edge then
I think in Re-Draft leagues... next season in the ADPs you'll see something like: LT going #1 in ~60% of ADP, and LJ going #1 in ~40%. LJ has been running wild over EVERYONE in the past few weeks. Dunno if KC will keep that phenomenal offensive line intact (not sure if any are FAs), but they've done a helluva job for LJ this year.

After Bush's performance the other night, he clearly has an edge over LT going into next season's draft.

Way to ressurect this thread?! Anyways even after a stellar first game I don't think the LT vs. Bush comparison is valid yet. Wait until midseason and we'll see what we have.

I do, however, think that picking Bush in round 4 in my PPR keeper league (keep 1 player after round 4) was an insanely good deal...

A little early for this, ain't it? Lets see a season first then annoint him.... (wow that's twice I used that word in one day - that word of the day toilet paper is really paying off!)

joe, your sarcasm is heavy here, but truly bush is the man...i wouldn't hesitate to take him #1 next season...
Bush owners will still have to worry about Deuce take carries from Bush.
I have a feeling that problem will have worked itself out by then.I'm not saying Bush should be #1 next year in PPR, in fact, I disagree, but I don't expect that competition to still be there next year.

Consider me in the group that isn't worried about Deuce's presence.

I don't think this LT/Bush at #1 is a silly argument next year.

Okay, I think most everyone agrees that in PPR leagues Bush is paving the way for greatness.

Now I ask you how many touches turn into Touch Downs? How many TD's will Bush score this year, then next?

I'll guess 8 to 9 total TD's in 2006, 6 rush and 2-3 receiving.

In 2007 bump that to 10 rush and 4 receiving.

That sounds about right.I think the most encouraging sign is that he was given a shot at the goalline once last game. Hopefully he can prove himself there. If he does, THEN we have this discussion. Not before.

I see the Bush/Deuce situation being similar to Sundays game for the next 3 seasons. Why take Deuce off the field when you can line him up in the backfield and split Reggie out wide? It's a great situation for a creative OC to take advantage of two great talents, without wearing either one out. I see Bush around these stats for his early career:

1000/1100 yards rushing

850/1000 yards receiving

95/100 receptions

9/10 TDs

In addition, the O-Line looked very good against a decent Browns D, and are rather young with no experience together. Throw in two talented young WRs to take the pressure off the running game, and this will be a very dynamic offense barring injuries.

Worst thread ever...(I could understand this topic in December, maybe.)
I own Bush in my Dynasty and I love him dearly. But there is not a chance in hell Bush outscores LT this year or next year, barring injury. N o t p o s s i b l e. LT is the ENTIRE offense for SD. He carries the ball just about constantly, and when he's not running it he's catching it. He's in at the goal line and he is successful. SD has a nice defense to keep things relevant. He is in a division that weaker defensively than Bush. He is proven, he does it against every defense thrown at him, and he does it in every way imaginable. Now, Bush is going to be the next Faulk, I don't have a doubt in my mind. I'm not talking about skill sets, I'm talking about point totals. He is going to amass obscene yardage and streak into the endzone at a similar clip. But while it may "begin" next year, it's not going to reach its apex for at least a couple years.
