C.Perry RB CIN- (dynasty after-thought)? (1 Viewer)

Dynasty

I been holdin him in a few leagues and wonder whats everyone take on this fella.

Sure he's talented but he has had to deal with injury after injury, and in the NFL,

you barely got 1 shot to make it. Then they draft Irons, which made it even more gloomy.

But now with him out for the year, does CP have any hope of becoming what we thought, or even servicable??

hold

or

dead weight

We'd had a discussion on Perry a couple months ago:

...plenty of thoughts and opinions there. Since then, the only thing that's changed is the injury to Irons. I haven't heard anything new on whether or not he's starting the year on the PUP list -- anybody? Is it for sure? I don't hold much hope for him -- he won't take over from Rudi as the top guy...he's under contract for a couple more years in Cinci...by the time he can sign elsewhere, who in their right mind gives him a shot at the #1 job? He's like Chris Brown, but without the production.

As I mentioned in this other thread, I like him...he's clearly talented, and could put up big numbers if he were ever healthy and the #1 guy somewhere. But I don't see that day coming any time soon, so I'm ready to cut bait and try again with someone else.

The only time I could see holding onto him is if I was a Rudi owners.

If Rudi got hurt late in the year and Perry was not on the PUP list then he might get some fantasy value.

Other than that - I think I would cut him.

In reasonably deep dynastys I see no reason not to keep him. When healthy he was constantly on Rudi's tail for playing time, excellent receiver out of the backfield. I could see the Bengals dropping him (Irons and him seem redundant) and someone waiting in the wings to nurture him into a better player than before. I'd like to see him bulk up a little and help negate the injury label hes earned.

He's actually bigger than many realize. He's officially listed at 224 lbs....has sometimes hovered close to 230...heavier than Rudi Johnson. I've always been a huge fan of Perry's talent. Now, I'm not sure if it will ever be realized.

i am a perry and rudi owner and i will be release perry after our rookie draft. I hope irons falls to the 2nd round with his injury

i have been a rudi and perry owner for 3 years in one of my dynasty league and I never thought perry had a chance of taking playing time from rudi. I thought he was nothing more than a 3rd down and back up RB. yes I have watched alot of Cinny games with the ST from DTV

With Irons' injury I would rank Perry ahead of him...Perry at least has an outside shot of playing this year.

If both Perry and Irons were 100%, Perry would be a lot better. That tells me to keep him and take a chance that he gets healthy.
x2.. a healthy Perry is a great back. Probably has the best hands on the team. I would hold him and hope this is his last injury.
