C. Taylor Expectations (1 Viewer)

If it were Peterson set to start, I would plug him in regardless of the opponent. But as adequate as Taylor may be, I'm having a tough time visualizing a 'must' start for him considering the Giants are averaging 90 yards a game on the ground. Especially, when you consider that represents total team rushing and not necessarily the RB1's yardage.

I see him ranked as a RB1 this week everywhere I look, it seems, and I guess I just don't get it. Does NY have any significant injuries that I'm not aware of?

in PPR leagues, no way you can bench Taylor, especially if Taylor is indeed on the sidelines today. He'll get several catches and plenty of attempts. I'm starting him in the 1 league I own him with confidence.

I cringed everytime I benched Chester Taylor last year. He IS the offense. The Giants have a big LB out today too! With the slim pickings at RB this year just pretend Chester is Peterson and Fuggedaboutit!

I don't know. He would need 5+ catches for the PPR value to be relevant and I don't think MIN has shown that propensity.I remember thinking similar thoughts before Peterson went up against Dallas and got 63 rushing yards and one 12 yard catch. He did pop a 20 yard TD, but overall he didn't perform up to what you want from your RB1.

13.5 pts is a more than respectable showing against the likes of the Cowboys D.

I'm left wondering if Taylor is a better start then MJD...

and the Giants have played the Jets, Falcons, Niners, Dolphins, GB, Lions...Miami ranks 15th in rushing, but the Jets are 20th, Falcons are 22nd, and the Niners are 27th, GB is 30th, Detroit is 29th. I'll take the notion that the Giants have a 'staunch' run defense, with a grain of salt..they've played the NFL's WORST rushing offenses to date..Minnesota is #1 in team rushing, and #1 in team rush defense. this is no cake walk game for the Giants, and I'd expect the massive Minnesota O-line to have success running the ball today against the Giants..Kiwanuka is out, and the Giants front seven can be pushed around with a good o-line..I'd expect Chester Taylor to have a good day, somewhere around 120-130 rush yards...that Minnesota O-line should wear down the Giantsfront seven, and pound the ball in the second half..and, I'm a Giants fan, until they buck the trend of collapsing in the second half of seasons under Coughlin, I'm not expecting too much from them..
