TB needs this bye week almost more than OAK did w/ the early season problems. Though I don't know much about Gradkowski, if he (or Rattay) can manage games and not kill drives throwing picks, Caddy should be OK. Not a lot of upside considering his ADP, but I still think 1000 and 7tds is reachable. He's definitely moved into RB2 territory though.
Most importantly, the bye will let his O line get healthy since they've been missing 2 guys thus far. I can see Gruden tightening up the D, and calling a much more conservative gameplan moving forward w/o a real threat at QB. My $ would be on Rattay, just b/c he's started some games in the NFL and can be effective in the short to mid range passing game - which should help Caddy in PPRs w/ dumpoffs in addition to his almost guaranteed increase in workload.
Maybe he can turn into a poor man's Willis McGahee - w/ less yards rushing. But a lot will depend on getting the line solidified asap.
Aside from a TD, Caddy hasn't shown very much. How will Simms being out affect his value and performance.I think I will still try to trade FOR him if the value is right. Maybr Gradkowski will be an improvement.
of course its much worse now as nine man fronts will be in his way now. Watch if Ratty does not step up there or they may even try to dig up or trade for a vet. That or call it a year in week three. The rookie will be nothing but trouble for them at this time of year.
