I was saying this very confidently 2 weeks ago. I still think SD could get there, but:I have changed my tune. Yes, Chicago is still the NFC favorite...that's kinda a no-brainer at this point, but the Eagles are very good...and deep. Still, right now it's Da Bears. I'm sure they won't run the table (any given Sunday theory), but this team has finally put it all together. Grossman (I can't believe I'm saying this) better stay healthy though. And Thomas Jones is just now finding his stride... In the AFC, I've watched the past 2 NE games and I'm pretty convinced they are back to the normal old Pats. Confusing as they may be...they are good all around. Not the best D, but good enough. Not the best O, but good enough. Most importantly, the mistakes they were making the first 2 weeks have gone away and they are once again the most mentally sound team in the NFL. For whatever reason, Belichek's guys simply "think" when they are on the field. Maybe it's the total team concept, but they are just fundamentally sound. I can see them finishing with 11 or 12 wins easily and once again winning the AFC. And I can't stand the Pats! (obviously because I'm a Jets fan). Lastly, Marnoney is going to keep Dillon fresh, which makes them a very potent team in the playoffs. The Patriots made Antwoin Smith look good in the playoffs 2 or 3 years ago. Imagine a healthy Dillon?!?! PLUS Maroney to boot! Sheesh. Bears vs Pats.But what the heck do I know...I took SA with the #1 pick in 1 league. I'm obviously not very smart!
