Calvin Johnson (1 Viewer)

Update from RotoWorld:

The Detroit Free Press considers Calvin Johnson (knee) likely to play this week even though he missed Thursday's practice.

We haven't heard of a setback, but Johnson was limited Wednesday before being held out Thursday. Check back Friday afternoon for an official update on his status.

I'm sitting him but I have embarrassingly good other options (R. Moss, A Johnson, Crabtree). Jamaal Charles gets the nod over megatron at the flex.

Calvin practiced today. I'm not sure how much though; will post when I find out more.
Here's the update from RotoWorld:Calvin Johnson (knee) returned to Lions practice on Friday.Johnson's absence from the entirety of Thursday's practice seemed to indicate a setback after he was "limited" on Wednesday, but the missed workout might've only been done for rest purposes. While he is a weaker fantasy bet when Daunte Culpepper is his quarterback, Calvin's talent is always very difficult to bench. He appears on track to start Sunday's game against the Cardinals.Source: John Niyo on Twitter

Bump for any updates. Can't believe he's going to come up small for the playoffs. Cotchery in for Megatron? Oh man.

Cmon Calvin.

Okay, who has the stones to start him today? Last I heard he'll likely play, but I'm far from confident. I have some other decent options (Santana Moss for example) but hate the thought of losing a game and NOT having my studs in there. How are you Megatron owners feeling about today?

Starting Wells over him in the flex despite having him slotted in most of the week. The circumstances are there for another gimpy, semi-invisible day and like most, I can't risk it. If he puts up another 32 pts on my bench, so be it.

If he starts for the Lions, he starts for me.

I really want to have that same attitude. Just scared. I have him in 6 leagues playing today, but I also have the following options in those 6 leagues- Panthers' Smitty, Santana Moss (in 2 leagues), Bowe, Ocho, and Devin Thomas. Am i nuts to keep Megatron in my lineup even with some of these solid options on the bench? :lmao:

If Stafford was playing I would feel a little better about starting him. Right now I am trying to decide between him, R. White and Fred Davis.

Making a pretty tough decision. Need to start 2 of Calvin, Sidney Rice, Deangelo. Deangelo faces Vikes D, so I'm leaning toward Calvin/S.Rice.

He is in for me over Hines Ward with a hammy up against Woodson. Also sat MSW for Calvin so yeah, I'm counting on Megatron to not put up a stinker. Didn't say I felt good about it though.

Arizona is pretty athletic in the secondary. I was very impressed with them vs. Minnesota and SF the past couple weeks. Calvin will be blanketed all day.

That, and I'm worried about a very big, very fast man that plays safety for Arizona. You may have heard of him. I don't want him to hit Calvinat all.

If Calvin plays, he is in my lineup. If I go down, I'm going down with my studs. The worst feeling in the world is benching a stud and watching him light it up.

They gave up 275 yards passing to Favre and Crabtree got 5-67-1 including a big-play TD against them. I don't think they're all that great in the secondary. Plus, Rodgers-Cromartie is battling a turf toe injury. For me, the concern is more about the fact Culpepper sucks than a fear of Arizona's pass defense. As always, it comes down to your choices. For me, it's Calvin or Britt so I'm going with Calvin since I think his upside is much higher (especially in a PPR league). If I had a really good alternative like Steve Smith of the Giants I'd sit Megatron too. But if the choice is a decent WR3 or WR4 with a great matchup, I'm going with Calvin if he plays because he's a lock for double-digit targets and the Lions very likely will be throwing it all day long.

If he starts I don't think I can sit him as my Flex. I also have several good options A Foster, LT, GJennings, H Nicks

I'm most afraid he is going to have one of those games where is constantly pulling himself out for a few plays. Add to that, Culpepper has really looked terrible, and I can easily see another 4/37 on 12 targets kinda games. As it stands right now, I've got him benched for H.Ward, Ocho, and Ganther(flex), and while it's eating at me... I think it's the right move.

I have to start him. It's either him or Breaston, White, or Fred Davis. I like the potential of Davis but I don't like any of them over Calvin right now.

Since he is active, he is in for me over Greg Jennings because he plays 95%+ of the plays and gets more targets. Jennings is licky when he is in for 85% of the plays.

Currently have him benched for Moss, Boldin, and Steve Smith(NYG)

Gonna go til 1 o'clock to make up my mind if I'm starting him or not.

In a PPR he is on my bench behind Sidney and 85. That may change in the next 40 minutes, but I'm thinking both of these guys have emotional incentive this week (Rice's homecoming and 85 playing though/for the Chris Henry death). Hope I'm right.

Gott Dammitt!!!!

I wish Calvin was inactive so I wouldnt have to make a decision. I have gone wrong with him almost every time the last 5 weeks or so.

I think I have to go ahead and plug him in though. Housh and Bowe are my other options in PPR and neither is really making a strong case to be in the lineup over CJ.

Just gotta hope he shows up today. Cmon Megatron, its playoff time. Money is on the line here!!!

It's too bad Culpepper looks bad during games. Even when Megatron's open downfield, CPep just can't get him the ball. I fear 4/42/0 today in a Cardinals rout.I'm sitting CJ for Crabtree.
