Cam Little Makes 70 Yard FG (1 Viewer)

I’ll say it…kickers should always be part of fantasy football. They matter.
A kicker is the only position on the field that can never play and it be entirely the fault of someone else. The worst kicker can outscore the best any week, not because of skill, but because the offense wasn't capable of getting the best into range. You can't say that of any other position.

In real life k's matter. Just like how the offensive line matters. Unlike the offensive line, a kicker only gets a chance when the situation around them is perfect. Makes more sense to score offensive line play.

I don't really see a good argument against it.
They are kickers, not athletes. Just like golfers are not athletes. Neither are bowlers. Should they be included in fantasy football? My argument against, is that in most years the difference between 1 and 10 isn't substantial enough where it matters which one you have.

Isn't that the same for QB? So start two Ks.

To me, they're part of the game, they score points, they're as random as anything else. Why wouldn't they be included

I thought my last sentence was decent argument against.

Shoutout to the Isaac Punts YouTube channel for pointing out that not only would that have broken the NFL and College record, but, on the same day, the longest punt record was also broken. On the first day of the new rule regarding K balls. Perhaps with the rule change we're going to see some weird kicking plays.

What's the new K ball rule?

And someone punted more than 98 yards?

It was actually the single-game punt-average for 3+ punts in a game. Evans, the kicker on the Rams averaged like 75 yards per punt during the game.

The K ball used to be given to the equipment manager 2-3 hours before the game started to "break in". Now they get it several days in advance and can really break it in.
