I'm one of the bigger Newton backers on this board, and took him in multiple rookie drafts this year, but for this year, redraft, Colt by a few rounds.

so how do you expain the "experts" ranking Cam ahead of McCoy?or Cam's higher ADP?

It appears the vast majority of ffers are getting this catastrophically wrong...embarrassing really.

We are all wrong more than we are right. Even the "experts".

No one saw newton coming. Everyone thought he had high potential to become the next failed project at qb a la (that raiders qb I forgot his name)

Who the he'll thought steve smith would be where he is RT now? All I read from the "experts" is that he had little left in the tank and lost a step. Uhhh...not

How bout welker? If I had told you preseason that welker would be the #1 fantasy wr in all the land by a mike this year over AJ, megaton, roddy, fitz, nicks...would you have believed me?

I can go on and on.

As a newton owner in a dynasty league I am thrilled about this kid. But I took a risk in drafting him given the opinions and info available. At this point it's safe to say he is unbenchable unless you also have Rodgers, brees, or a healthy Vick (and in certain matchups I'd consider newton over Vick or brees). The dude is a freak!

Thanks for assuring Cam a HOF career.I've already explained "why" on the higher ADP. Remember the reason you didn't like Moreno last year? That's the logic being employed by many people.

People remember his bad calls because he's so insufferable, but I bet if you went back and totaled up every call he ever made, you'd find he doesn't significantly underperform random chance. In the end, he's basically just the fantasy equivalent of a coin flip. A loud, obnoxious, self-aggrandizing, megalomaniacal coin flip with poor interpersonal skills, but a coin flip nonetheless.

I think CAR has much better weapons around Newton and as was said previously an easier schedule. Not to mention the weather for later season games will be better in CAR. I like Newton vs. McCoy.
