Camp/Preseason darlings 2025 (1 Viewer)

Last year there were a number of standout players in camp and the preseason. Good value gets like Bo Nix and Drake Maye along with duds like Carson Steele and Eric Gray. Aside from the obvious Bill (Jecory Croskey-Merritt), who do you think stood out in camp and/or preseason games? As a Bears fan, both Tyson Bagent and Ian Wheeler have shown promise.

Adonai Mitchell has had rave reviews this off-season. His ability to get open is near elite. I am skeptical and think he is probably a year away from the consistency needed, but it is rare to have that level of young talent at the #4 receiver spot so worth keeping eye on if things do actually click. Still hurdles with quarterback and target competition, but he has the level of talent worth monitoring imo.

Jalen Coker has had another nice off-season and is overlooked due to a fairly full room. If the Panthers move on from Thielen I am all over Coker as I think he has an outside chance to lead this group in receiving. He is very quarterback friendly and would not see the coverage attention Tet will. Best part is he is practically free. Even if they keep Thielen, I have to imagine Coker starts seeing the field more once/if CAR falls out of contention.

Dont'e Thornton has been the consistent talk of the off-season in Las Vegas. He has a very rare size speed combination. DK Metcalf is the common comp. Every report suggests that the Raiders found a gem.

As a Raider fan, I know something will happen to **** it up, but even if it doesn't, but it will, I'm not sure there's going to be enough volume in this offense to make him anything other than a late round flyer and break glass in case of emergency type player this season.

I would add Troy Franklin to end of draft receivers who have good camps and great upside. Still a bit of a mystery why he fell last year to the 4th round, but by all accounts he has had a great camp/preseason after a quiet rookie year. With Vele gone and Franklin having chemistry with Nix going back to college, he is a guy who I am excited to see if he can make a leap.

I would also add in Pat Bryant...Payton was aggressive getting him in the third round and so far all reports have been positive...fingers crossed it is Marques Colston 2.0...probably not a redraft target but in Dynasty he is well-worth a roster spot...the upside could be huge.

For sure. If I had to guess, WRs 2-4 will be rotated at higher clip than most teams. Bryant is closer to a Sutton-clone, whereas Mims/Franklin have a different skill-set. It will be interesting to see who is able to emerge.

Agreed...if two of the three between Bryant, Mims and Franklin are legit that would be a huge boost for Denver going forward...Sean Payton is doing a very good job here...Denver is definitely headed in the right direction.

Probably a step below FF relevant for now, but Mitchell Tinsley is definitely a preseason darling for the Bengals. He has been awesome and Burrow is openly calling for him to make the team. The bar to pass Iosivas for relevance isn't very high, but his true upside would be if there is a Chase/Higgins injury. As much as I like those guys and Tinsley is not them, Burrow is going to put up numbers with whoever.

I really wouldn't be surprised if one of Michael Pittman or Alec Pierce were traded by the deadline.

That is a good point, especially if they are struggling out of the gate. It should be fairly clear the direction they will be going after the first five games. Three of the five are against the Dolphins, Titans, and Raiders. If they cannot take at least 2/3 from that it going to be tough sledding the remaining of the year. With Pierce on the last year of his deal it would make sense to get something for him as I would think if Mitchell can ascend he can take over that role fairly seeminglessly.

Keon Coleman has gotten a lot of good press this camp. I'm not sure any other WR has a bigger gap from current ADP to their ceiling.

I was high on Keon coming out and he did start to make noise last season before getting injured. League winner-type upside if he hits.
