Can "Both Sides" Finally Agree? Pentagon/ DoD Are Fiscal Disasters (1 Viewer)

So you want to instead talk about me rather than the topic.

Im going to guess that isn’t what Joe is looking for.  I’m more than happy to discuss the topic of you can ever keep it to that....and I have made several posts on it and can discuss it even more.

Gvem the budget cuts submitted by Trump doscissed elsewhere, the balooning deficit, and increased spending for the DOD and the history under GOP leadership in recent congress I think I’m well backed by the facts of this situation.
You have a point.

In hindsight, I shouldn't have pointed out that you insist on knocking and blaming Republicans for at least one thing in every single thread in the PSF.

Hope you have a nice evening

I don’t necessarily disagree with you, although the small part of me that remains a fiscal conservative even now notes that “a few bucks from the well to do” seems to be an essential element of the progressive solution to every single one of society’s problems.
There has been class warfare in this country for over 30 years and the wealthy kicked everyone else's butt. They get the majority of all new income and the majority of all tax cuts. So yeah time they started paying more. Past time.

In Iraq, they went out of their way to waste money.  The more they spent, no matter how frivolous or marked up the cost, the more they made.  $45 cokes, $250K SUVs, training at 5-Star Resorts.

$5.6 trillion dollars, for nothing.  People who say Congress can't agree on anything must be missing those 97-2 votes to give the MIC billions of dollars every year.

I think that if we are to ever cut any real waste out of military spending, a Republican will have to do it. And if we are to ever fix Social Security, a Democrat will have to do it.
Reagan did more to fix social security than anyone.

To be fair you can both sides this issue. Base closures, though they often make sense, are fiercely fought no matter if the district is red or blue. Same for weapons systems production.
On base closures they both do. On cost of goods, unneeded purchases and overhead, they absolutely do not.
