Car salesmen question (1 Viewer)

No but they lost a bunch when the 19's hit the floor.  Now the 20's order date has been released.  There is a mid-model update in the 20's also.  They are changing transmissions likely to a 10 speed.  So the value just went down again.  heck if this keeps up he's going to be paying me! :)

There arnt a lot of additional options either at this trim level.  It has most of them.   But i do get what youre saying.
I understand, but the dealer still paid $X for this truck.  Whatever changes are happening in 2019 or 2020 can't change that the dealer needs to recover close to $X on this particular truck.

They have had this truck for eight months and only dropped the price $8k.  Don't you think if they were desperate to sell they would have dropped it more than that by now?  Why not offer it for $75k?  $70k?  $65k?  $76k to $63k is a really steep drop for them not to try for something in between first.

But you never know 🤷‍♂️
