Would like opinions on this, too -- CAR homers, can the backups provide some degree of run blocking? How negatively does this affect the running game?

They basically played the whole game last week without Gross. They moved Wharton over to replaced him. He looked pretty good.
Otah left in the 3rd quarter and Jeremy Bridges came in to replace him.
Bottom line: They looked pretty good after replacing these 2 guys. They should be able to perform pretty well without them against the Chiefs.
The real scary thing though is if they lose someone else. They don't have the depth to overcome another injury during the game.
