CB injuries of note (1 Viewer)

Chicago Secondary...

--Rams WRs Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce, who have combined for 124 receptions, 1,674 yards and 10 touchdowns, vs. a Bears secondary that could be without Pro Bowl CB Nate Vasher (hamstring) and SS Todd Johnson (ankle), both of whom are questionable. If Vasher is out, the Bears would start nickel CB Ricky Manning Jr. on one side and move him to the slot in passing situations, with inexperienced rookie Devin Hester taking his spot at cornerback.

CB Gamble Added To Injury Report

Darin Gantt, Rock Hill Herald - [Full Article]

The Carolina Panthers added CB Chris Gamble (thigh) to the injury report Friday, after he went to trainers after practice complaining of discomfort. He's listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the New York Giants.

Webster out for Gmen

DE Strahan, CB Webster, OT Petitgout, Out Today

Arthur Staple, Newsday - [Full Article]

DE Michael Strahan (foot), CB Corey Webster (toe) and OT Luke Petitgout (leg) didn't travel with the team, and won't play today. Strahan didn't practice all week.

Yes I respectfully disagree, Evans will see double coverage most of the day, assuming any combination of the front 3/4 can get some pressure.

Gotta throw out the record books when these two play, and Lee Evans is their healthiest weapon at the moment and I expect the Jets to play him as such.

Edit

Actually in the 3wr set, if Evans were to slide into the slot, I guess Poteat would be charged with covering him, but he would have help over the top. Through the last 4 weeks or so, the Jets D has played surprisingly well.

Always a chance Evans could break one, (see the Bears Game; Bradley) but for the most part the defense should be able to restrict his touches.

CB O'Neal Arrest Could Affect Lineup?

Geoff Hobson, Bengals.com - [Full Article]

With Pro Bowl CB Deltha O’Neal arrested for driving while intoxicated less than 48 hours before today’s game, rookie CB Johnathan Joseph could get his fourth straight start. O’Neal was expected to play for the first time this week since injuring his shoulder Nov. 12. HC Marvin Lewis could do what he’s done the past three games and not activate O’Neal and go with CB Keiwan Ratliff and others as his third corner.

Mole... are you sure about that? I believe Poteat got the start at CB last week, and will again start opposite Dyson this week with Barrett somewhat dinged up.

I believe S Spencer is also out for SF.... not sure if that side draws Driver or Jennings.
