Unreal.

Hunter was my last WR in my WR3 spot. I have nobody else. It’s either Parker Washington, Jaylin Noel, Coker or Horton for me to pick up. Great. That escalated quickly.
Travis Hunter bring placed on IR. Will miss 4 games.
Parker Washington a pickup??
I just grabbed him. With BTJ also hurting, Washington could be in line for a heavy target load. That escalated quickly.

He’s absolutely droppable in redraft. He might not even be back this season.Hunter seems droppable in redraft leagues if you need the roster spot. Won't be back until week 13 at a minimum and the question is whether you'd want to bank your playoff hopes on him post-injury and when he hasn't had a chance to develop more chemistry with Lawrence.
Done for the yr thenReported as non-contact injury. He dead
IMO you don't go from practice report to IR that quickly and only miss four games. That escalated quickly.

Agreed but that's just what they're saying for now. Give it another hour. Hell retire due to medical.IMO you don't go from practice report to IR that quickly and only miss four games. That escalated quickly.

Last year would have said the opposite, but man - Mac turned Kendrick Bourne into a superstar for a 2-game stretch.BTJ was made by Mac Jones.
Non-contact injury, too. That’s gotta be a torn [insert ligament]. I’d be shocked if it’s anything else.IMO you don't go from practice report to IR that quickly and only miss four games. That escalated quickly.

NoooooooooHave a deal to give away Dart and Downs for Hunter in a league. My qb is Maye. Redraft. Take it?Based on this and a talking head. I am really uncertain.JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS
Liam Coen says Jaguars will play 'best 11' in reference to Travis Hunter's usage

The Jacksonville Jaguars are doing inventory during the bye week.
They’re self-scouting themselves, trying to correct mistakes they’ve made and highlight the things they do well.
“What do we do best? What are the things that we do best in all three phases,” head coach Liam Coen said to reporters on a zoom call during the bye. “[We'll] go and dive into and pour into those things.”
There are several areas the team will tackle during the bye week including penalties, drops and other self-inflicted issues. But another area of focus will be updating the plan for rookie two-way player Travis Hunter.
Hunter scored his first touchdown in the loss to the Los Angeles Rams — the only touchdown Jacksonville managed to score in the contest.
It was the best output for Hunter through seven games as a professional, recording eight catches for 101 yards.
“I thought that there were some definite flashes [during the game] in terms of on offense specifically, had a great pass breakup as well on defense,” Coen said.
Travis Hunter will likely see play time increase on both sides of the ball after the bye week
Hunter has recorded 28 receptions for 298 yards and the touchdown on offense while logging 15 total tackles and three pass deflections on defense. Expect for those numbers to increase greatly in the games after the bye week.
“We are going to play the best 11 as much as humanly possible after this bye,” Coen said. “We’ve kind of gotten a sample size of everything, the totality of the first seven weeks of every position, but specifically with him.”
Hunter played 67 offensive snaps against the Rams which is the most on that side of the ball in his career. However, he only had 14 snaps on defense which was one of the lowest totals this season.
And Jacksonville’s defense suffered for it, seeing a 21-0 deficit before he got his first rep on defense. That first rep saw him matched up against Davante Adams and he came up with a textbook pass break up on the star receiver.
Hunter is comfortably their best cornerback in coverage and has been the most reliable pass catcher through the first seven games. He has shown that he’s ready for a larger slice of the responsibilities on both sides of the ball.
The Jaguars will use this week to evaluate and update their plan for the rookie.
“We've got to just make sure we're playing the best guys at all times and see what that looks like,” Coen said. “That will a hundred percent be a part of this evaluation and conversation over the next few days here.”
What are Travis Hunter’s stats?
Travis Hunter has recorded 28 catches for 298 receiving yards this season. He’s caught the most passes on the team and has the second-most receiving yards.
He has logged 15 total tackles with three pass deflections in seven games.
How many snaps has Travis Hunter played on offense and defense this season for the Jacksonville Jaguars?
Travis Hunter has played 324 offensive snaps, 162 on defense, and three on special teams for a total of 489 snaps.
He averages 46.2 offensive plays, 23.1 defensive plays and 69.8 plays overall per game.
Talking head made it seem that this recent coach speak was a call for more O snaps and less D snaps. And that Hunter would get WR1 opportunities. I think that still can exist with BTJ being traded, but that is far from certain.
If you don't have Hunter see if you can trade, but just keep your value of him based on what was seen. If you have to trade for the potential you are likely to get burned.
Bull case he is WR 11-15, Bear Case he is Flex/WR3 and for that reason I'm likely not gonna deal.
I’d humbly suggest (and not knowing more detail) it’s from over-use.he somehow hurts his knee
Yeah. And non contact. Sounds like ACLIMO you don't go from practice report to IR that quickly and only miss four games. That escalated quickly.

They need to 100% commit to using him only as a WR next year or his career could he derailed with injuries.I’d humbly suggest (and not knowing more detail) it’s from over-use.he somehow hurts his knee
There’s a reason there aren’t more 2-way players in the league.
Wonder how far away Brenton Strange is from returning, he was getting quite a few targets the first 4 weeks before getting injured against KC.It's either him or Dyami Brown.I just grabbed him. With BTJ also hurting, Washington could be in line for a heavy target load. That escalated quickly.

I think he's getting close, progressed to doing rehab work on a side field this week. Still two weeks before he can return but think he's got a great shot to get back for week 11.Wonder how far away Brenton Strange is from returning, he was getting quite a few targets the first 4 weeks before getting injured against KC.It's either him or Dyami Brown.I just grabbed him. Kupp cld miss this week..I have Horton on bench just in case he sits. He cld have good game in high scoring affair.Hunter was my last WR in my WR3 spot. I have nobody else. It’s either Parker Washington, Jaylin Noel, Coker or Horton for me to pick up. Great. That escalated quickly.

And so cld Washington.Especially with Thomas not being 100% with mystery shoulder injury of sorts.
Noel way too many mouths to feed and Kirk takes his slot role back. Collins back as well.
Maybe grab Tyler Johnson from Jets as well as great flyer after last weeks good game.

Per the article, the injury occurred while he was playing defense. End that side of the ball for him, Liam.

I guess I am not sure what you mean by this. Why does Hunter's contract require a rookie QB contract? Why would Hunter being hurt make them more likely to move Thomas? Has Hunter really proven so far he's so good that he doesn't need help around him?Against the grain thinking, Does this actually mean the Jags shop Thomas harder? I doubt they really want to trade him, but if they think Hunter is their focus (and they paid big for him) do they cash in now and try and get some chips to upgrade elsewhere (cough cough QB cough cough).
With Trav's contract they reallyu need a rookie QB contact to help them rebalance.
Or sign Flacco for 3 years,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

The Athletic’s Mike Silver reports the Jaguars “are confident” that Travis Hunter “did not sustain any long-term damage to his knee.”
Hunter suffered a non-contact knee injury in practice on Thursday. The good news is that both Silver and ESPN’s Adam Schefter have made optimistic reports on Hunter’s outlook. Per Schefter, Hunter’s ACL is intact. The bad news, on the other hand, is that the Jags immediately placed the No. 2 overall pick on injured reserve and we still don’t have concrete details on the nature of the injury. Hunter will miss at least four games while on IR, though we suspect he will be out much longer than a month. As Silver notes, the Jags will not rush him back, meaning Brian Thomas Jr. will continue to operate as the team’s No. 1 wideout for a while, possibly the remainder of the regular season.

I had to drop him in redraft. Even with some silver lining he’s been hard to start in any game all year. And I say that as someone who actually started him in his 100+ TD game against the Rams. But I only started him because my hand was forced. The Athletic’s Mike Silver reports the Jaguars “are confident” that Travis Hunter “did not sustain any long-term damage to his knee.”

Even if he’s only out 4 games. Rough start his first game back…. And then we are getting into fantasy playoffs.
Now having said all that… I’m confident someone in my league will pick him up and start him against me in the playoffs where he drops 40 points on me with two offensive tds and two defensive tds in the same game.
