CBSSportsline schedule difficulty calculation? (1 Viewer)

Ok,

I think this needs to get slotted right below world hunger and world peace as far as priorities go, but....

does anyone know how CBS sportsline calculates their schedule difficulty rankings for the FFL teams?

There are a couple of ways I'd do it, but I can't seem to match their results.

hold your cursor over the gray schedule difficulty when looking at a preview and it will explain it. it is based on the Breakdown section of the standings so basically it factors in your opponent's record if they played everyone in the league each week.

Interesting. I'll have to see if that makes sense and it matches up.

In the past I've played around with figuring what everyones record would be if they played, say, your opponents in the order that you played them. Think of it as switching opponents 1 for 1 across everyone in the league. If you do this, you can see who had an easy road or a hard road. Some time lucky teams get to play a schedule where their opponents have off weeks. For example, I am 4-1 now. But if I swapped with one team, I'd be 5-0. Or another and be 2-3. My starters stay the same, the set of opponents change... It tries to look a little deeper than just points for/points against. Everyone has seen a tean skate through by catching everyone just right and playing them at their low points while you seem to catch everyone at their best week.
