Chaun Thompson (1 Viewer)

Thompson, Zac Dills and Kevin Bently will battle for the Texans SLB position opposite Greenwood.
I read it's essentially Diles job to lose. I hear Kubiak really likes his motor and versatility, he's kicking himself for not playing him more the last month of the season. Diles has good coverage skills, has sideline-to-sideline range, shows a good sense of timing and takes the shortest path to the quarterback when asked to blitz. (Scouts, Inc.)

Think scouts inc is overreading Kubiak's love for Diles. He played extensively in only a couple of games. if anything from what I have seen Kubiak and company, they will lean mediocore veteran when in doubt versus younger player. IMO, Dils will have to win the job versus it being his to lose.

The way we hear it, the final spot in the Texans’ three-man LB corps is essentially Zach Diles’ to lose. DeMeco Ryans, of course, is entrenched in the middle, and Morlon Greenwood will man one of the OLB positions. Diles, a second-year pro, rates an edge over Chaun Thompson and Kevin Bentley for the other starting job.

Who would be most likely to be an all 3 down backer?Greenwood and Ryans? Would Diles have a chance at the will position and to be in on all 3 downs or will Greenwood be on the will side and Diles fights it out for SAM and therefore not a productive LB for fantasy purposes ? Inquiring minds want to know. Haven't heard very much about Diles at all.

Ryans is a three down LB. Greenwood has seen good deal of action on passing down in the past. The SLB is most likely a bye-week fill-in even in large (14/16 team leagues)

PFW is where I read (essentially his job to lose) coolnerd. The part about Kubiak not playing him as much as he liked , was from a newspaper article. (can't recall)I posted the Scouts, Inc thing so people could see some of his abilities, to see if they felt, (should he win the starting job), he could challenge Greenwood for some nickel snaps. My bad, I should have posted all my sources, just got lazy.
